-Allison Feaster: played for the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting and was a two-time All-Star

The Chapin School Basketball Program has a rich history of success on the court, and that success begins with our Coaching Staff Our coaches are some of the most experienced and successful in the country, and they work tirelessly to develop our student-athletes into champions.

Our Head Coach is Mike D’Antoni, who has over 30 years of experience at the collegiate and professional levels. Coach D’Antoni is a two-Ime Nba Coach of the Year, and he has led teams to the playoffs 13 times in his career. Under his guidance, the Chapin School Basketball Program has won two National Championships and six conference titles.

Our assistant coaches are Rick Carlisle, Nate McMillan, and Ettore Messina. Coach Carlisle has over 25 years of coaching experience at the collegiate and professional levels, and he is a two-time NBA Champion Coach McMillan is a 12-time NBA All-Star who played in the NBA for 19 seasons, and he has been an Assistant Coach for eight seasons. Coach Messina is one of the most decorated coaches in European Basketball History and he was named Euroleague Coach of the Year four times.

Founded in 1901, The Chapin School has a long tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts.

The Chapin School basketball team has been one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport. Chapin has won 27 city championships, 20 private school championships, and 12 state championships In addition, Chapin has been ranked in the top 25 nationally on numerous occasions and was named the number one team in the country by USA Today in 2001.

The Chapin School Basketball Program is built on rivalries. The biggest rivalry is with Phillips Exeter Academy a private school in New Hampshire. The rivalry began in the early 1900s when the two schools played each other for the first time. The game was so close that it was not decided until the final seconds. Chapin won the game, but Exeter would get revenge the following year by winning the rematch.

The rivalry between Chapin and Exeter is one of the oldest and most heated in all of sports. The two teams have met more than 200 times, with Chapin holding a slight lead in the series. Every year, the game is highly anticipated by both schools and their fans.

The Chapin School also has a rivalry with Lawrenceville School, another private school in New Jersey. The rivalry began in 1923 when the two teams played each other for the first time. Chapin won that game, but Lawrenceville would win the next six meetings between the two teams.

In recent years Chapin has had more success against Lawrenceville, winning nine of the last ten meetings between the two teams. The rivalry between Chapin and Lawrenceville is one of the most competitive and evenly matched in all of sports.

1. Chapin is a small, private school in Manhattan with an elite student body. The average basketball player at Chapin is probably not going to be recruited by a Division I school.

2. Chapin’s Basketball team has never been very good. In fact, they’ve only had one winning season in the last 20 years.

3. Chapin’s basketball games are usually pretty boring, especially if you’re not a diehard fan of the team.

4. The school’s gym is really small and cramped, and it gets pretty loud in there when the game is close.

5. Because of the school’s size and location, Chapin usually doesn’t get to play against very good competition. So even if they do have a good team, they might not get to showcase their skills against top-tier opponents.

6. The Chapin School is tuition-priced, so that means that many of the parents of the students are wealthy and/or connected. This can create a sense of entitlement among some of the players and families, which can be off-putting to outsiders.

7. There have been some instances of nepotism in the program, with coaches favoriting players who are related to them or have some kind of connection to the school outside of basketball.
