Since its founding in 1896, Clarkson University has been a leading institution of higher learning in the Northeastern United States The university is located in Potsdam, New York, and is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Clarkson is renowned for its academic programs in engineering, business, and the sciences, and is also home to a highly competitive Division I Hockey Program
The Clarkson Golden Knights Hockey Team has a long history of success on the ice, having won 3 NCAA Division I national championships (in 1957, 1960, and 1966). The team has also produced a number of NHL players over the years, including current superstars Joe Thornton and Chris Drury. Clarkson hockey is truly a tradition of excellence.

The Clarkson Golden Knights A college hockey Powerhouse
Located in Potsdam, New York, Clarkson University has a long and storied tradition in college hockey The school’s team, the Golden Knights has won five NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championships, most recently in 2014. Clarkson consistently ranks among the top college hockey teams in the country, and has produced a number of NHL Players over the years.

The Clarkson Women’s Hockey team A Dominant Force
Since the Clarkson women’s hockey team’s first season in 1997, they have been a dominant force in NCAA Division I hockey. They have won 5 NCAA Division I Women’s Ice hockey Championships (in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018), and have been the runners-up 3 times (in 2011, 2012, and 2015). The team has also won 18 conference championships (including 14 straight from 2005-2018), and has been to the NCAA tournament 18 times.

The Clarkson Men’s hockey team is a perennial powerhouse, consistently ranked among the top teams in the NCAA. They have won the NCAA Division I National Championship four times, most recently in 2014. Clarkson is also a member of the ECAC, one of the most competitive hockey conferences in the country.
The team is coached by Casey Jones, who has led the team to immense success since he took over in 2006. Under his leadership, the team has won four conference championships and made seven appearances in the NCAA Tournament In addition, Jones has been named Coach of the Year on three occasions.

Clarkson University has a long and storied history of success in college hockey Dating back to the inaugural season in 1932, the Golden Knights have won 6 NCAA Division I Men’s ice hockey Championships, more than any other team in the nation. In addition to their national championships, Clarkson has also won 12 ECAC Championships and made 27 NCAA tournament appearances.
The Golden Knights have produced many Great players over the years, including 32 All-Americans, 13 NHL first Round Draft picks, and 3 Hobey Baker Award winners (given to the top player in NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey). Clarkson has also had 6 Olympians who have represented 5 different countries in 3 different Winter Olympic Games

The Clarkson Cup: A History of Excellence
The Clarkson Cup is symbolic of excellence in women’s collegiate hockey. It was first awarded in 1987 to the winning team of the United States Collegiate Women’s Hockey Championship The Cup was named after Melanie J. Clarkson, one of the original founders of the tournament.
Since its inception, the Clarkson Cup has been held annually to determine the best women’s collegiate Hockey Team in North America The tournament is open to any NCAA Division I or III team, as well as any club team from a Canadian university. In order to be eligible to compete for the Cup, a team must first win its respective conference championship
The tournament consists of four rounds of playoffs, with each round being a best-of-three series. The first two rounds are held at campus sites, while the semifinal and final rounds are held at a neutral site. The semifinal and final rounds are known as the Frozen Four.
The Clarkson Cup has been won by some of the most prestigious women’s hockey programs in the country, including Harvard University Cornell University and the University of Minnesota In recent years the Cup has been won by both NCAA Division I and III teams, as well as Canadian university teams.

The team was founded in 1925, and has won 7 NCAA Division I championships, more than any other team in the conference. The Golden Knights have also won 14 conference championships and have made 27 appearances in the NCAA tournament
Clarkson has produced many NHL players over the years, including current stars like St. Louis Blues captain David Backes and Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask. Clarkson is also well-known for its passionate and vocal fans, who are affectionately known as “Knights Nation”.

Clarkson is renowned for its strong defense, and the team has been led by some of the best goaltenders in NCAA history, including current Head Coach Greg Flynn. Flynn took over the program in 2008 and has led the Golden Knights to five Frozen Four appearances, including three straight from 2016 to 2018.
Under Flynn’s guidance, Clarkson has become one of the top programs in NCAA Division I women’s hockey, and looks poised to continue its tradition of excellence for many years to come.

The Clarkson Men’s Hockey team is one of the most successful programs in all of college hockey They have won 7 NCAA national championships, which is tied for 2nd all time, and have made it to the Frozen Four 18 times, which is also 2nd all time.
The team has produced a number of NHL players including Hockey Hall of Famer Dave Taylor and current NHLers like St. Louis Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo and New Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider.
Clarkson has a long-standing tradition of excellence on the ice, and that tradition continues today.
