NHL Round 2 Predictions: Who Will Win?

With the second round of the NHL playoffs underway, here are our predictions for who will take home the Stanley Cup

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Columbus Blue Jackets

It’s been a long time since the Tampa Bay Lightning have been this deep in the playoffs. They’re up against a Columbus Blue Jackets team that’s been surprising everyone with their strong play. Who will win Round 2?

The Tampa Bay Lightning are one of the best teams in the NHL. They’re loaded with offensive firepower and have one of the best goaltenders in the league. The Columbus Blue Jackets are a team on the rise. They’re led by a young core of players and have been playing Great Hockey all season long

Round 2 of the NHL playoffs is sure to be an epic battle between these two teams. Tampa Bay has the experience and the talent to win, but Columbus has been surprising everyone all season long. It’s going to be a close series, but we think Tampa Bay will ultimately come out on top.

Washington Capitals vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Round 2 of the NHL Playoffs is upon us, and there are some great match-ups to watch out for. One of the most talked about series is the Washington Capitals vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins Both teams have been really strong this season, and it should be a close series.

Here are our predictions for who will win each game:

Game 1: Capitals
Game 2: Penguins
Game 3: Capitals
Game 4: Penguins
Game 5: Capitals

St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars

The St. Louis Blues advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs with a 5-4 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday. The Blues will now face the Dallas Stars who defeated the Nashville Predators in six games.

The Stars are led by Tyler Seguin and Alexander Radulov, who had two goals apiece in the first round. Dallas goaltender Anton Khudobin also had a solid series, stopping 139 of the 145 shots he faced.

The Blues are led by forwards Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz, who each had four goals in the first round. St. Louis goaltender Jordan Binnington also had a strong series, allowing only nine goals in five games.

These two teams met four times during the regular season with each team winning twice. The Stars outscored the Blues 11-10 in those four games.

Both teams have strong offenses and solid goaltending, so this should be a close series. I’m going to give the slight edge to the Blues because of their experience in big games from last year’s Stanley Cup run. I predict that St. Louis will win this series in seven games.

San Jose Sharks vs. Colorado Avalanche

The San Jose Sharks will face off against the Colorado Avalanche in Round 2 of the NHL playoffs The Sharks finished the regular season with a record of 43-21-8, good for second place in the Pacific Division The Avalanche, meanwhile, were the top team in the Central Division with a record of 52-22-8.

This will be a matchup of two very good teams, but we believe the Sharks have what it takes to come out on top. They have more experience and they’re battle-tested after a tough first-round matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights

We’re predicting that the Sharks will win this series in six games.

Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs will face off in the second round of the NHL playoffs The Bruins are the defending Stanley Cup champions, and they are looking to repeat this year. The Maple Leafs are one of the best teams in the league and they are looking to win their first Stanley Cup in over 50 years.

Both teams have strong offenses, but the Bruins have the edge on defense. The Bruins also have a lot of playoff experience, which could be a factor in this series.

Prediction: Boston Bruins in 6 games

Nashville Predators vs. Winnipeg Jets

Nashville Predators vs. Winnipeg Jets

The Nashville Predators and Winnipeg Jets both had great regular seasons, but only one team can advance to the Conference Finals Who will win this matchup?

The Nashville Predators were one of the best teams in the NHL this season. They have a deep and talented roster, and they’re led by one of the best defensemen in the league, Roman Josi. The Predators also have a Vezina Trophy winning goaltender in Pekka Rinne.

The Winnipeg Jets also had a fantastic season. They were led by their dynamic young forwards, including Patrik Laine and Mark Scheifele. The Jets also have a Vezina Trophy-nominated goaltender in Connor Hellebuyck.

This is going to be a close series, but I think the Nashville Predators will ultimately prevail. They’re a more complete team, and I think their experience will be an advantage in this series.

Vegas Golden Knights vs. San Jose Sharks

The Vegas Golden Knights and the San Jose Sharks are set to face off in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs Who will win this highly anticipated matchup?

The Golden Knights are coming off a convincing win against the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round. They have shown that they can be a force to be reckoned with, and they will no doubt be looking to carry that momentum into the second round.

The Sharks, on the other hand, had a bit of a scare in their first-round series against the Anaheim Ducks but they ultimately prevailed. They will need to be at their best if they want to take down the Golden Knights

So, who will win this matchup? It is tough to say for sure, but we predict that the Golden Knights will come out on top. They have been playing strong hockey all season long, and we believe they have what it takes to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final.

Calgary Flames vs. Colorado Avalanche

It’s hard to believe that the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are already in Round 2, but here we are. The Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche are set to face off in what is sure to be an exciting series. These two teams are well-matched, so it’s hard to say who will come out on top. Here are our predictions:

The Calgary Flames have been on fire lately, literally. They’re coming into this series hot off of a victory against the Winnipeg Jets in Round 1, and they’re looking good. The addition of forward Elias Lindholm has been a boost to their offense, and they have a strong defense led by Mark Giordano. The Flames also have the home-ice advantage in this series, which could be the deciding factor.

The Colorado Avalanche also had a successful first round, defeating the Predators in six games. They’re led by forwards Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen, who were both nominated for the Hart Trophy this year. They also have a strong defense, anchored by Erik Johnson. The Avalanche are a tough team to beat, but we think the Flames will take this one in seven games.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Edmonton Oilers

In the second round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Anaheim Ducks will take on the Edmonton Oilers This matchup features two teams that are very familiar with each other, as they met in the second round last year as well. The Oilers were able to come away with a victory in that series, but the Ducks will be looking for revenge this time around.

The Ducks come into this series as the favorites, but the Oilers cannot be counted out. Both teams have a lot of firepower, but it will be up to their goaltenders to decide who moves on to the conference finals

Whoever comes out on top in this series, it is sure to be a great one.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Vegas Golden Knights

The Chicago Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights will face off in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Blackhawks are the defending Stanley Cup champions, and they are looking to make it back to the finals for the third straight year. The Golden Knights are in their first year of existence, and they are looking to make a deep run in the playoffs.

The Blackhawks have a lot of experience on their side, but the Golden Knights have home-ice advantage. The Golden Knights also have one of the best goalies in the NHL, and they have a defense that is good at keeping the puck out of their net.

I think that the Golden Knights will win this series in seven games.
