The complete list of infielders on the CMU Baseball roster is as follows:

Outfielders

Outfielders are the players who play in the three defense positions in baseball farthest from the batter. They typically have speed and agility, as well as strong throwing arms, making them ideal for catch prospects. outfielder must be able to field fly balls and hit for average. Pitchers

Pitchers
Ace: Starting pitcher who is the best pitcher on the team
reliever: A type of pitcher who comes in during or towards the end of the game to relieve the starting pitcher
Closer: A reliever who is specialized in getting the last out of the game
Middle reliever: A pitcher who comes into the game during the middle innings to relieve the starting pitcher
Long reliever: A pitcher who comes into the game early and is expected to pitch multiple innings

CP – Closer
MR – Middle Relief
LR – Long Relief

Schedule

The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Team is set to begin their 2019 season on Saturday, February 23 when they travel south to take on Birmingham-Southern. The Tartans will play a three-game series against the Panthers before returning home to Pittsburgh for their home opener on March 2 against La Roche. Carnegie Mellon will then play host to Grove City (3/9), Thiel (3/16), and Washington & Jefferson (3/23) in non-conference action. The team will open up University Athletic Association (UAA) play on the road the following weekend, March 30-31, at Case Western Reserve

Results

The Carnegie Mellon baseball team is a NCAA Division III baseball program that competes in the University Athletic Association (UAA). The Tartans are currently coached by Mike McMahon, who is in his first year as Head Coach of the program. The Tartans play their home games at Founders Field, located on Carnegie Mellon’s campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

As of the 2019 season, the Tartans have an all-time record of 672–578–12 (.537). Their 672 victories are the second most of any NCAA Division III Baseball Program in Pennsylvania.
