The CMU Baseball Schedule is Here!

The Carnegie Mellon Tartans baseball team is set to begin their season on February 23rd, and their schedule has finally been released. Check out their opponents and plan on attending a game or two (or more)!

Introduction

The long-awaited baseball schedule is finally here! The season will open on February 14th with a Home game against the University of Michigan

Here is the full schedule:

February 14th: University of Michigan (H)

February 15th: University of Michigan (H)

February 16th: University of Notre Dame (A)

February 17th: University of Notre Dame (A)

The Regular Season

The 2019 regular season will feature 56 home games and 50 road contests. The home opener is slated for Tuesday, February 19th, against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels First pitch is set for 3 p.m. Central time at Charles Johnston Stadium. The rest of the schedule can be found below.

The Postseason

The postseason begins Wednesday, May 15, with the American conference tournament at Simulation Field in Dayton, Ohio. The top four teams from the regular season will qualify for the double-elimination tournament. The event will be broadcast live on ESPNU.

Non-Conference Games

The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Team will open its 2019 season on Friday, March 1st as they play host to La Roche College. The Tartans will then welcome Thiel College to Pittsburgh for a three-game series on March 2nd and 3rd. CMU will travel to Grove City Pennsylvania to take on Grove City College on Wednesday, March 6th before coming back home to take on conference rival Case Western Reserve in their first University Athletic Association (UAA) series of the year.

Game Times

The Carnegie Mellon University Baseball Schedule is here, and we could not be more excited! Here are the Game Times for the upcoming season

February 28th – 12:00 p.m. – vs. Grove City College

Noon games are always a great way to start the season off right!

March 3rd – 3:30 p.m. – @ Drexel University

Our first road game of the season takes us to beautiful Philadelphia!

The complete television and radio schedule for the 2019 Carnegie Mellon baseball season has been announced. All games will be broadcast on Pittsburgh’s sports radio 93-7 The Fan, with select games also available on Root Sports Pittsburgh and CN900.
