Columbia University’s Baseball Schedule for the upcoming season

The Columbia University baseball schedule for the upcoming season has been announced, and the team is looking to build on last year’s success. The Lions will open the season on February 23rd with a three-game series against the University of Connecticut Huskies. The team will then hit the road for a four-game series against the University of Pittsburgh Panthers before returning home to take on the Cornell University Big Red Columbia will conclude its non-Conference Schedule with a three-game set against the Dartmouth College Big Green

In Ivy League play, the Lions will begin on March 30th with a three-game series at home against the Brown University Bears Columbia will then travel to Hanover, New Hampshire to take on the Dartmouth College Big Green before returning home to face the Yale University Bulldogs. The team will wrap up its Ivy League schedule with a six-game homestand, highlighted by a three-game set against the University Of Pennsylvania Quakers.

The Lions are coming off a successful 2018 campaign in which they went 20-23 overall and 11-5 in Ivy League play, good for second place in the standings. Head Coach Brett Boretti will look to lead Columbia back to the postseason in 2019 as they look to build on last year’s success.

-On March 3rd and 4th, Columbia will be taking on Princeton in what will be two very important games.
-Later in the month, on March 24th, Columbia will be playing Dartmouth in what is sure to be a heated battle.
-The season will conclude with a game against Yale on May 12th.

The Ivy League schedule is set and Columbia will open its season on Saturday, March 6, at St. John’s.

The Lions will have 31 games overall this season, including 17 at home at Robert K. KraftField at satchel paige Stadium. Columbia will also host a four-game series against Dartmouth (March 27-28), Princeton (April 17-18), Penn (April 24-25) and Cornell (May 8-9).
