-Chris McCullough: A freshman forward that is expected to see significant minutes off the bench. He is a versatile player that can score inside and out, and is a good rebounder.
-Kendall Stephens: A sophomore guard that will provide some outside shooting and solid defense.
-Darryl Reynolds: A junior forward that is a good rebounder and shot blocker. He gives the team a defensive presence off the bench.
-Siyani Chambers: A junior guard that missed last season with an injury. He is a former starter that provides the team with creativity and scoring off the bench.
The Coaching Staff
We are proud to announce the Coaching Staff for the upcoming season of Dartmouth Basketball Our Head Coach is John Smith, who has been with the team for three years. He is joined by assistant coaches Sarah Brown and Mark Johnson
Coach Smith has led the team to two Ivy League championships and one NCAA tournament appearance during his time at Dartmouth. Under his leadership, the team has had a winning record in each of the past three seasons.
Assistant coach Sarah Brown is a former Dartmouth basketball player and she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. She will be responsible for player development and scouting opponents.
Assistant coach Mark Johnson comes to Dartmouth from the University of California where he was an Assistant Coach for the men’s basketball team He will be responsible for recruiting and player development
The Schedule
The season will tip off on November 10th at home against the University of New Hampshire. The first five games of the season will be at home, with the Big Green hosting Boston University Yale, Hartford, and Maine. The team will then travel to play at Providence on December 4th.
The Outlook
The Dartmouth men’s Basketball team is looking to build on last season’s success, when the team won a share of the Ivy League title and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1959.
This season, the Big Green will be led by a core group of experienced upperclassmen, including co-captains Ian Sistare (Charlotte, Vt.) and Miles Wright (New York, N.Y.). Sistare, a 6-9 forward, was an honorable mention All-Ivy selection last season after averaging 11.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game Wright, a 6-5 guard, is one of the best Defensive Players in the league and averaged 9.0 points per game last season.
Also returning are junior guards Guilien Smith (Atlanta, Ga.) and Will Emery (Stowe, Vt.), who were both key contributors to last year’s team. Smith is a versatile player who can score and rebound, while Emery is one of the best shooters in the Ivy League
The Big Green will also have several new faces this season, including freshmen guards James Foye (Boston, Mass.) and Brady Leman (New York, N.Y.). Foye is a talented scorer who can also play defense while Leman is a sharpshooter who will add Depth to the team’s backcourt.
With a mix of experience and youth, the Dartmouth men’s basketball team has high hopes for the upcoming season
