Davenport University’s men’s basketball team advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament for the first time in program history on Sunday.
The Panthers, who won the Great Lakes Valley conference tournament title on Saturday, will take on Newberry College in the first round of the Southeast Region tournament on March 15. The game will be played at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.
Davenport, which is located in GRand Rapids Michigan, has an overall record of 25-7. The Panthers are seeded fourth in the Southeast Region and are making their first appearance in the NCAA tournament
Berry College is located in Newberry, South Carolina and has an overall record of 20-11. The Wolves are seeded 13th in the Southeast Region and are making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament

The Davenport men’s basketball team has advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament for the first time in school history. The Panthers will take on Southern Indiana in the first round of the Midwest Regional on March 16 at 5:30 p.m. ET.

The Davenport Men’s basketball team represents Davenport University in NCAA Division II basketball competition. The Panthers are currently members of the Great Lakes collegiate athletic conference (GLIAC). They are coached by Burt Peterson, who is in his first season as head coach at Davenport.
Davenport has appeared in the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament four times. Their combined record is 5–4.
