There’s a new basketball team in town, and they’re ready to take the court by storm. Drew Charter School’s Basketball team is a force to be reckoned with, and they’re only getting better.

The team is made up of students in grades 6-12, and they compete against other schools in the Atlanta area. They’ve already had some impressive victories, and they’re only getting started.

Coach Kevin Saunders is in his first year as Head Coach and he’s excited to see what the future holds for his team. “Our goal is to compete for a state championship ” he said. “We’ve got a lot of talented players, and we’re definitely on the rise.”

The Team’s Success

In just a few years, the Drew Charter School basketball team has worked its way up from obscurity to become one of the best in the state.

Under the guidance of coach Jamal Wilkes, the team has won two straight State Championships and is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation by USA Today

The Team’s History

Since its inception in 2001, Drew Charter School’s Basketball team has been a consistent force in Atlanta’s public school league. The team is currently coached by two-Ime Nba champion, Grant Hill

The team has seen success in recent years winning the Atlanta Public Schools City Championship in both 2016 and 2017. In 2018, the team made it to the state semifinals before losing to eventual state champion, Meadowcreek High School

The Team’s Fans
