The Baseball Team is a travel baseball team based in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The team plays in the Premier Division of the Elite Baseball League of New England (EBLNE). The team is composed of High School aged players from across the United States
Ridgewood Elite was founded in 2013 by Chris DiLullo and Mike Maione. The two had coached together at a rival travel baseball organization and saw an opportunity to start their own team. They recruited 82 players from 21 different states to try out for the inaugural roster. Of those 82 players, only 23 made the cut.
In their first season, the team finished with a record of 24-12-2 and won the EBLNE Premier Division championship. The following year, they finished with an even better record of 34-8-2 and won their second straight division title. In 2015, they made it to the semifinals of the EBLNE playoffs before losing to eventual champion Boston Red Sox Scouts.
