Here are the current standings for the International League Baseball for 2019.

American League

The American League of professional baseball Clubs, or simply the American League (AL), is one of two leagues that make up Major League Baseball (MLB) in the United States and Canada. It developed from the Western League, a minor league based in the Great Lakes states, which eventually aspired to Major League status. It is sometimes called the Junior Circuit because it claimed Major League status for the 1901 season, 25 years after the formation of the National League

National League

The National League of Professional Baseball Clubs, known simply as the National League (NL), is the older of two leagues constituting Major League Baseball (MLB) in the United States and Canada, and the second oldest of major professional sports leagues overall. Founded on February 2, 1876, to replace the National Association of Base Ball Players (NABBP) after a rift developed between top amateur players and clubs over player compensation, the NL is sometimes called the Senior Circuit, in contrast to MLB’s other league, the American League

As of 2019, MLB consists of 30 teams: 29 in the United States and 1 in Canada. With 15 teams in each league, MLB is unique among major professional sports leagues of North America in that it uses a Western division and an Eastern division; each team plays 76 games against its division rivals and 66 games against the 10 teams from the other division, for a total of 162 games. The 162-game regular season runs from late March/early April to late September/early October.

Central League

The Central League is a minor league baseball league that operates in the central United States and Canada. There are currently eight teams in the Central League The teams are located in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas.

The Central League began play in 1902 as the Central Association. The league changed its name to the Western League in 1905 and then to the Central League in 1954.

The current Central League champions are the Kansas City T-Bones.

Pacific League

The following is a summary of the Pacific League standings as of the end of the 2019 regular season

Pacific League:
1. The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks finished the season in first place with a record of 91-49-2 (.647).
2. The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters finished the season in second place with a record of 80-61-3 (.567).
3. The Saitama Seibu Lions finished the season in third place with a record of 77-63-4 (.548).

Interleague Play

In baseball, interleague play is when teams from different leagues play each other. major league baseball is split into two leagues, the National League and the American League There are three divisions in each league, and each division has five teams. In total, there are 30 Major League Baseball teams.

During the Regular Season each team plays 162 games. Of those games, 76 are against teams within their own league and 86 are against teams in the other league. This leaves 4 games unaccounted for. These 4 games are played against a rotating selection of teams from the opposite league. The League Schedule is set up so that every team plays every team from the opposite league at least once every season.

The Toronto Blue Jays are in the American League East division. In 2019, they will play 40 games against American League East opponents, 36 games against American League Central opponents, 30 games against American League West opponents, and 4 games against National League East opponents.

All-Star Game

Seattle Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki who also collected an RBI in the top of the 10th, was named the Most Valuable Player after going 3-for-4 with two runs scored This was the first time in All-Star game history that a player from the losing team won MVP honors.

Post-Season

As the baseball season comes to a close, fans’ eyes turn to the MLB standings to see which teams will be playing in the post-season. The top five teams in each league (American and National) make the playoffs, with the divisions’ first and second place finishers receiving a bye in the first round. The remaining four teams play each other in a best-of-three series, with the two winners advancing to play the division leaders. From there, it is a single elimination tournament until one team from each league remains: the World Series Champions.

World Series

The World Series is the annual Championship Series of Major League Baseball (MLB). Prior to 1969, the playoff series between the winners of each league was known as the “World’s Series”, but that name was changed to reflect the fact that it had become a truly global event, with teams now coming from Japan, Canada, and even Australia. MLB itself is now played in 30 different countries. The Series is played between the champions of baseball’s two leagues: the American League (AL) and the National League (NL), and since 2004 has been contested by seven games.

Off-Season

The MLB season has come to an end and the off-season has officially begun. Many teams have already started to make moves in order to better their team for next season. Some teams have decide to rebuild their team by trading away some of their best players for prospects, while other teams are looking to add just a few pieces to make a run at the playoffs. No matter what each team is looking to do, the off-season is always an exciting time for baseball fans

Future Plans

The National League is baseball’s Triple-A Minor League It was founded in 1884, and its current president is Randy Mobley. The league has 16 teams in two divisions: the National League East and the National League West

In 2019, the Triple-A World Series will be held in Wichita, Kansas from September 10th to the 15th. This is the first time that the event will be held in Wichita.

The league plans to expand to 18 teams in 2021 with the addition of new franchises in Nashville, Tennessee and Springfield, Massachusetts.
