In the early years of Ivy League basketball, Penn dominated the conference. They won 19 championships in a row from 1947-1965. At one point, they held a conference record 50 game Winning Streak that spanned from 1957 to 1961. It wasn’t until 1967 when another school finally won an Ivy League title, and it was Yale who did it.

Yale has continued to have success in recent years They have appeared in the NCAA tournament four times since 2000 and most recently in 2016 where they lost to Baylor in the first round. They have also won four Ivy League Championships since 2000 including three straight from 2002-2004.

Craig Robinson (born April 21, 1962) is an American college basketball coach and television analyst who currently is an Assistant Coach for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He formerly served as the head men’s basketball coach at Oregon State University from 2008 to 2014 and Brown University from 2006 to 2008.

What does the future hold for Yale basketball?

After an up-and-down season, the Yale Bulldogs find themselves at a crossroads. They have a talented group of returning players, but they also have a lot of holes to fill.

The good news is that the Bulldogs have a lot of young talent. They will be led by sophomore guard MJ Couisnard, who was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Couisnard will be joined by fellow sophomores Paul Atkinson and Devonte Green, who both showed flashes of brilliance last season.

The bad news is that Yale will be without two of their best players from last season, as both Miye Oni and Alex Copeland have graduated. Oni was a first team All-Ivy League selection, while Copeland was second team. They will need to find someone to step up and fill those scoring voids.

The Bulldogs also have some question marks in the frontcourt. Their leading returning scorer is senior forward Blake Reynolds, who averaged just over 11 points per game last season. He will need to be more consistent if Yale is going to compete for an Ivy League title.

The biggest question mark for Yale is at point guard Sophomore Eric Monroe showed some promise last season, but he will need to make a big jump if the Bulldogs are going to be successful.
