-The starting five for the Fairfield Men’s basketball team have been announced.

--Head Coach Mario Mestas will rely on senior leadership from Ray Barile and Ryan Hahn.

-The team will also look to contributions from junior Alex Lima and sophomores Kevin Wiley and Andre Walker.

Dec. 8 – vs. Lafayette

The Fairfield Basketball Team

The Fairfield Basketball team is made up of ten talented young athletes Get to know the team below!

--Tyler Jones Point Guard
A young and gifted point guard Tyler is the Heart and Soul of the team. He’s been playing since he was a child and his passion for the game shows on the court.

-Jonathan Wilkes, Shooting Guard
Jonathan is one of the best shooters in the league. He’s quick on his feet and has a knack for finding the open man.

-Darius Johnson, Small Forward
Darius is a versatile player who can play both small forward and shooting guard He’s a good defender with a strong offensive game.

-Marcus Brown, Power Forward
Marcus is a big presence on the court. He’s a physical player who isn’t afraid to mix it up down low.

-Kevin Burke, Center
Kevin is a tall and talented center. He’s a good rebounder with a solid offensive game.

The Fairfield basketball court is home to the Fairfield Stags and the Fairfield Women’s basketball team The court is located in the William H. Pitt Center on the campus of Fairfield University The Stags have played on the court since the center opened in 2002.

The Fairfield Basketball Arena

The Fairfield basketball arena home to the Fairfield Stags men’s and women’s basketball teams is located on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. The arena opened in December of 1999 and has a capacity of 3,500 people. The arena is named after alumni Richard Goldstein, who donated $1 million to the university for its construction.

The Fairfield Basketball Band

The Fairfield Basketball Band is a student-run pep band that cheers on the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams at all home games The Band is open to all students and plays a mix of popular music, fight songs, and School Spirit tunes.

The Fairfield Basketball Cheerleaders

The Fairfield basketball cheerleaders are a group of six to eight girls who help support the men’s basketball team at Fairfield University They can be found at home games cheering on the Stags and leading the crowd in chants and cheers.

The Fairfield Basketball History

The Fairfield basketball team is a Division I college basketball team competing in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The team is currently coached by Jay Walsh. They play their home games at the William H. Pitt Center on the campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.

The Fairfield basketball team has seen great success in recent years In 2012, they won their first ever conference regular season title and made their first ever appearance in the NCAA tournament In 2014, they made it back to the NCAA Tournament and won their first ever NCAA tournament game.
