News
The FAMU baseball team is getting ready for another season and the roster is looking good. Here are some of the players to watch out for in the upcoming season
-Pitcher Jameson Taillon is a junior who was named the MEAC Pitcher of the Year last season. He’s definitely one to watch out for on the mound.
-Outfielder Mikey Reynolds is a senior who led the team in batting average last season. He’s someone that you can always count on to get a hit.
-Catcher John Bormann is a junior who is known for his game-changing defense. If you’re looking for someone to make a big play behind the plate, Bormann is your guy.
Rumors
The Famu Baseball Team is getting ready for their upcoming season and there are already a few rumors floating around about who will make the roster. Here’s what we know so far:
First, it looks like pitcher Jake Fraley will be back for his senior year. He was drafted by the Yankees last year, but decided to return to Famu to finish his degree.
There are also rumors that catcher Mike Zunino might be joining the team. Zunino was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2012, but he hasn’t played in the majors yet. It’s unclear if he would be eligible to play for Famu or not, but it would be a big coup for the team if they could get him.
Finally, outfielder Trayvon Robinson is rumored to be joining the team as well. Robinson was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2010, but he didn’t make it to the majors and was released in 2013. He’s been playing in independent leagues since then, and it looks like he might have found his way back to Famu.
