Key Players to Watch

As the new season of Friar basketball approaches, there are a few key players to keep an eye on. First is senior shooting guard Jimmy Butler Butler has been a Friar for four years and is one of the team’s most experienced players. He is also one of the team’s best shooters, and will be counted on to provide leadership on and off the court.

Another player to watch is junior point guard Nate Robinson Robinson is a transfer from Missouri who sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules. The Shooting Guard

On defense, they need to have the agility to stay in front of their man and the strength to battle for position in the post.

The Friars have had some great Shooting Guards over the years, and this year is no exception. Here are some key players to watch:

-Jared Dudley: A transfer from Boston College Dudley is a 6’7″ senior who brings a wealth of experience to the Friars. He’s a strong shooter with a quick release, and he’s also a good rebounder for his position.

-Weyinmi Efejuku: A 6’4″ junior, Efejuku is an explosive scorer who loves to get out in transition. He’s a streaky shooter, but when he’s hot he can take over a game.

-Sharaud Curry: A 5’10” sophomore, Curry is one of the quickest players on the team. He’s an excellent defender with the ability to create his own shot off the dribble.
