Glenbard West Basketball Season Preview

The Glenbard West Varsity Basketball team has a new head coach this season, John Camera. Despite having a relatively young and inexperienced squad, Coach Camera is optimistic about the team’s potential and looks forward to watching them grow throughout the course of the season.

TheHilltoppers will be led by a core group of seniors, including captain Jack Ryan who Coach Camera praises for his work ethic and leadership on and off the court. Other key seniors include shooting guard Matt McCue and Power Forward Nate Brown.

Coach Camera is also excited about the contributions of his junior class, which includes returning starters point guard Charlie Grossi and small forward Colin Turner. He believes that these upperclassmen will provide much-needed guidance and experience to the team’s younger players.

With a mix of veteran leadership and youthful exuberance, the Glenbard West Hilltoppers are poised to have a successful season Catch them in action at one of their upcoming games:

The Glenbard West Basketball team is coming off a Successful Season in which they made it to the State Tournament This year, the team is looking to build on that success and make a run at the championship. The team has a lot of talent and experience, and they will be a tough opponent for anyone they face. Here is a look at the team’s schedule and results so far this season.

Glenbard West Basketball Player Preview

The Glenbard West basketball team is coming off a strong season in which they won the conference and made it to the state semifinals. This year, they will be looking to build on that success with a core group of returning players. Here is a preview of what to expect from the team this season:

Forwards:
The forwards will be led by senior Jack Ryan and junior Will Schaffer. Ryan is a versatile player who can score inside and out, while Schaffer is a strong rebounder who also has the ability to score around the basket. Both players are also solid defenders.

Guards:
The backcourt will be anchored by seniors Matt Kleiman and Michael Trent. Kleiman is a sharpshooter who can knock down threes from anywhere on the court, while Trent is a quick guard who excels at getting to the rim and finishing in traffic. Both players are also good passers and should provide plenty of assists for their teammates.

The Glenbard West varsity basketball team has advanced to the postseason. The first game is on Friday, March 3 against Hinsdale Central. The game will be played at Glenbard West High School located at 670 N. Crescent Blvd. in Glenbard, IL 60137. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

Glenbard West Basketball All-State Teams

The all-state teams for the 2018-19 Basketball season have been released by the Illinois basketball Coaches Association.

Glenbard West had two players selected to the Class 4A team.

Senior guard Alex Timmer was a first-team selection, while senior forward Cole Gentry was a third-team choice.
