The Niles West basketball coaching Staff

The Niles West Basketball Coaching Staff is one of the most experienced and successful in the state. Head Coach Al Moravcik has over 20 years of experience coaching basketball at the high school and collegiate level. He has led Niles West to four IHSA state championships and six IHSA Regional Championships Coach Moravcik was named IHSA Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2010. He was also named Chicago Tribune Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2010. In addition to his coaching duties at Niles West, Coach Moravcik is a member of the Illinois basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame

Assistant coaches Mike Conlin and Matt Coleman have been with Coach Moravcik for over 10 years. Coach Conlin played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame and has coached at the high school and collegiate level for over 20 years. Coach Coleman played collegiately at Northwestern University and has been coaching basketball for over 15 years.
