Glen Arnold enters his first season of college baseball at Golden West College after a successful career at Marina HS. As a senior, he was named to the All-CIF Division I team. He was also named the Sunset League’s Most Valuable Player after batting .382 with 5 home runs and 19 RBI.

Team Schedule

The Golden West College Rustlers baseball team has a long tradition of excellence. The team has won numerous conference championships and has produced many Major League Baseball players. The Rustlers play their home games at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California.

The Rustlers are a member of the Orange Empire Conference which is comprised of eight community colleges in Southern California The conference season runs from late February through early May. The conference tournament is held in mid-May, with the winner advancing to the California Community College State Championships

Golden West College baseball players are student-athletes who are enrolled at the college and are eligible to play for the team for two years.

Game Results

The Golden West College Rustlers Baseball Team is a junior college baseball team that represents Golden West College located in Huntington Beach, California. The Rustlers compete in the California Community College Athletic Association’s Coast Conference

The team has won five California Community College Athletic Association state championships most recently in 2012. The team plays its home games at Golden West’s baseball field which has a capacity of 500 people.

As of the 2016 season, theRustlers have an all-time record of 1,247 wins and 1,015 losses.

Team Stats

The Golden West College Rustlers baseball team is composed of 24 student athletes who hail from all over the country. The team is led by Head Coach Tony Bloomfield, who is entering his fourth season with the team. The Rustlers are coming off a successful 2018 season in which they posted a 34-14 record and made it to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) state championship game.

The team is made up of 12 pitchers, two of which are left-handed, and 10 Position players The pitching staff is anchored by returning starters Michael Gutierrez and Nickolas Vega, both of whom were named to the All-State team last year. The position players are led by third baseman/catcher Connor Mathews, who was named the CCCAA State Player of the Year in 2018.

Post-Game Analysis

After every game, the Golden West Coaching Staff analyzes the game as a whole to determine what went well and what needs to be improved. This process is essential to the team’s success and helps the players learn from their mistakes.

The Golden West CollegeRustlers Baseball Team is pleased to announce its roster for the upcoming season The team will be composed of 28 student athletes, representing 21 different colleges and universities across the country. 24 of the 28 players are freshmen, while the remaining 4 are upperclassmen. The team is excited to have such a young and talented group representing Golden West College this season.

The Golden West College Baseball team is a Community College baseball team that represents Golden West College in activities and competitions. The team is a member of the California Community College Athletic Association and competes in the Coast Conference
