Grand Oaks Baseball is a league of their own. A traveling team of eleven and twelve-year-olds from the north suburbs of Chicago, they play in AAU tournaments around the Midwest. This year they are the defending champions of both the grand slam World Series and the Midwest regional tournament

The Grand Oaks baseball team was founded in 2006 by Head Coach Jeff Vlcek and his wife, Theresa. The team is made up of players from all over the Chicago area, including Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove Glenview, Park Ridge, and Vernon Hills.

The Grand Oaks Baseball Team has a rich history of success. In 2007, they won the AAU Midwest Regional tournament. In 2008, they were finalists in the Grand Slam World Series In 2009, they won the Grand Slam World Series In 2010, they won the Midwest regional tournament again. In 2011, they produced another winning season and made it to the semifinals of the Grand Slam World Series

This year, Grand Oaks Baseball is looking to defend their title at both the Grand Slam World Series and Midwest regional tournament. The team has high expectations and is working hard to make sure they live up to them. In addition, each team is allowed to have ten players on the field at a time ( instead of the usual nine), and games are only seven innings long.
