In recent years Greeley West Baseball has become a team on the rise in the state of Colorado. The Spartans have seen a dramatic turnaround under Head Coach Jason Crow, who took over the program in 2014.
Since then, Greeley West has gone from being a doormat to one of the top programs in the state. The Spartans have won back-to-back Class 5A State Championships and are one of only two programs in Colorado to win multiple state championships in that span.
Greeley West has also been one of the most successful programs in terms of player development Under Coach Crow, the Spartans have had 12 players go on to play college baseball including four who have been drafted by MLB teams.

The program has also produced some Great players In 1984, pitcher Scott Williamson helped lead Greeley West to a 22-2 record and a spot in the state semifinals. Williamson went on to play Major League Baseball for 14 years, winning a World Series with the Boston Red Sox in 2004. In 2001, first baseman Larissa Franklin helped lead Greeley West to a 21-3 record and a spot in the state quarterfinals. Franklin went on to play Division I college softball at Missouri State University And in 2015, pitcher/infielder Maddy Schiappa helped lead Greeley West to a 19-5 record and a spot in the state quarterfinals. Schiappa is currently playing Division I college softball at Bradley University
