Hermiston girls basketball – Interviews
The Hermiston high school girls basketball team is off to a fantastic start this season, with an overall record of 14-2. The team is led by Head Coach Mark Henderson, who is in his sixth season with the Bulldogs. We sat down with Coach Henderson and senior captain Kinley McNees to get their thoughts on the season so far and what Hermiston fans can expect in the coming weeks.
Coach Henderson, what would you say has been the biggest surprise for you this season?
It’s definitely been the development of our young players We have eight sophomores on the team, and they’ve really stepped up in a big way. They’re Playing big minutes and they’re doing a great job.
Kinley, as a senior leader on the team, what do you think is the biggest key to success for the Bulldogs?
I think it’s just being together and having each other’s backs. We’re all really close off the court, and I think that helps us play well together on the court. We know we can count on each other, no matter what.
Hermiston fans can catch the Bulldogs in action at home on Friday, February 7th against South Albany. The game will tip-off at 7:00pm at Hermiston high school
