The Hill College men’s basketball team is headed to the post-season for the first time since 2012. The Hill College Men will be the #4 seed in the Region V Tournament and will take on #5 Cameron in the first round on Monday, March 5, at 8:00 PM in Abilene, TX.
Hill College finished the regular season 20-9 overall and 10-6 in conference play The 20-9 overall record is the best since Head Coach Ken DeWeese took over the program in 2014. The 10-6 conference record is also the best since Coach DeWeese has been at Hill College.
This is a young team with only two sophomores and one freshman playing major minutes. The team is led by conference Freshman of the Year Xavier Adams (12.8 ppg, 4.1 apg) and all-conference honorable mention guard Qua Grant (11.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg). Other key contributors include freshman guard JaquanHairgrove (9.8 ppg) and sophomore forward Javis Wilson (7.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg).
The team is excited for the opportunity to compete in the post-season and looks to make a run at the Region V Championship.
