New Additions

This season, the Husker women’s basketball team will have several new additions to the roster. Among them are a pair of transfers, a freshman, and a junior college transfer.

The two transfers are both guard/forwards. One is from IUPUI and the other from Texas Tech The freshman is a 6’3″ center from Illinois. The JUCO transfer is a point guard from Iowa Western Community College

Returning Players

The 2019-2020 Husker women’s Basketball Roster includes a mix of returners and new faces. The roster includes:

– Riley LaChance

Departures

The Nebraska women’s Basketball team will have a new look in 2019-20, as the Huskers will replace four starters and six of their top seven scorers from last season.

Coaching Staff

The 2019-2020 Husker Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff includes Head Coach Amy Williams and assistant coaches Travis Gease and Katie Sowers.

The 2019–20 Nebraska Cornhuskers women’s Basketball team represents the University of Nebraska in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women’s basketball season The team plays their home games in Pinnacle Bank Arena, which has a seating capacity of 15,500. They are led by fourth-year Head Coach Amy Williams. The Cornhuskers finished the season with an overall record of 13–18, and a conference record of 4–14. They failed to qualify for the 2020 Big Ten Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament

Standings

As of December 8th, 2019, the Huskers are 3-4 (0-1 Big Ten) and 11th in the conference.

Awards

Several Nebraska basketball players have garnered postseason awards this season.

Sophomore Sam Haiby was named to the All-Big Ten second team, while freshman Nia Clouden was named to the third team and honorable mention.

Freshman Annika Stewart was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and Haiby earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Defensive team
