Here is the Washington Huskies baseball schedule for the 2020 season. All game times are local to where the game is being played.

-Opening Night, April 4: All fans will receive a 2019 magnetic schedule. Schedule Poster giveaway to first 2,500 fans.
-Bark in the Park, April 27: Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the game. The first 1,000 dogs through the gates will receive a special Huskies bandana.
-Hats Off to Our Heroes Night, May 11: All active and retired military personnel will receive free admission to the game. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Huskies military hat.

Team

The Connecticut Huskies baseball team is a Division I college baseball team in the American Athletic Conference representing the University of Connecticut The team is currently coached by Jim Penders, in his 15th season as Head Coach They play their home games at J.O. Christian Field in Storrs, Connecticut. The Huskies have appeared in four NCAA Tournaments and have won two conference championships

History

The Huskies Baseball Team has a long and storied history, dating back to their days as a minor league team The Huskies were one of the original eight teams in the Northwest League, which was founded in 1890. The Huskies played their first game on April 17, 1890, against the Spokane Falls Athlethic Club. The Huskies won the game by a score of 17-7.

The Huskies were one of the most successful teams in the early days of the Northwest League, winning the League Championship in four of its first five seasons. The team’s success continued into the 20th century, as they won league championships in 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1912, 1913, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1921 and 1922.

The Huskies were also one of the most successful teams in independent baseball during the early part of the 20th century. From 1903 to 1915 inclusive (a span of 13 years), the Huskies won 11 out 12 championships (losing only in 1904). In addition to their 11 championships in 12 years from 1903 to 1915 inclusive; Thehuskiess also adding championships in 1916 and 1917 for a total of 13 titles in 15 years.

In 1918 ,the Northwestern League was reorganized as a Class B league and renamed the Western National League Thehuskiess joined as charter members.

The Huskies have a long tradition of excellence on the baseball field and that has led to some fantastic rivalries over the years. Some of our biggest rivals are:

-The Gonzaga Bulldogs
