The Bench

-Trey Lyles: A big man that can score inside and out, Lyles is one of the most versatile players on the team. He is a good rebounder and shot blocker, and can also stretch the defense with his shooting.
-Jared Sullinger: Another big man, Sullinger is a very good rebounder and scorer around the basket. He is also a good passer, and his defensive ability has improved in recent years
--Isaiah Thomas A small guard, Thomas is one of the best pure shooters on the team. He isn’t afraid to take Big Shots and he has the ability to make them.
-D’Angelo Russell: A very talented player, Russell has the ability to score, pass, and rebound at a high level. He is still developing as a player, but he has shown flashes of greatness.

The Newcomers

The Indiana University men’s Basketball team has five newcomers for the 2022 season. The group includes two four-star recruits, a three-star recruit, a transfer, and a walk-on.

The four-star recruits are shooting guard Khristian Lander and small forward Trey Galloway. Lander is ranked as the No. 18 recruit in the nation by ESPN and is IU’s highest-ranked recruit since James Blackmon Jr. in 2014. Galloway is ranked as the No. 42 recruit in the nation by ESPN and was named Indiana Mr. Basketball for 2020-21.

The three-star recruit is power forward Luke Goode, who played his senior season at IMG Academy in Florida. power forward Jordan Geronimo is transferring to IU from Northeastern, where he averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds per game last season. Walk-on guard Antonyo Brown rounds out the newcomers.

The Schedule

The 2020–21 Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball team will represent Indiana University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men’s Basketball season The team will be led by head coach Archie Miller, in his fourth year. The Hoosiers will play their home games at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana as members of the Big Ten Conference.

They finished the season 20–12, 10–10 in Big Ten play to finish in a tie for eighth place. They defeated Northwestern in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament before losing to Illinois in the second round.
