The IUP men’s basketball team notched another victory last night, defeating their opponents by a score of 70-60. It was a tough game, but the team showed their mettle and came out on top. Great job, guys!

IUP basketball scores another victory. The Crimson Hawks take on the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown Mountain Cats. The game took place in Johnstown, PA, at the UPJ Sports Center. IUP Crimson Hawks came out on top with a score of 72-68. This was a hard fought game by both teams, with IUP coming out on top in the end.

The IUP men’s Basketball team scored another victory on Saturday, January 27, 2018. The game was tight throughout, but IUP eventually won by a score of 73-63. This victory brings the team’s record to 15-6 on the season.

IUP was led by senior guard Malik Miller, who scored 19 points in the contest. Miller was also named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Player of the Week for his efforts. Senior forward Obi Enechionyia also had a strong game, scoring 17 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

The IUP men’s basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday, January 31 when they take on PSAC rival West Chester University. The game is set to tip-off at 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

The IUP men’s Basketball team won its fourth straight game Monday Night defeating Mercyhurst 87-76 at the Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Crimson Hawks (8-4, 4-0 PSAC West) were led by senior guard Kobe McNair, who scored a game-high 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field. Sophomore forward Kai Wheatley added 18 points and eight rebounds, while junior guard Elijah Minnie chipped in 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

IUP will return to action Thursday night when it travels to take on Seton Hill Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.

The IUP men’s basketball team won their third game in a row on Saturday, December 2, 2017. This most recent victory was against Mercyhurst University IUP’s leading scorers were Junior Mikell Moore with 23 points and Senior! Malik Edwards with 21 points. With this win, IUP’s record is now 3-1 for the season. The team’s next game is at home on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 against Robert Morris University at 7:00 p.m.

The win improves the Crimson Hawks’ record to 17-5 overall and 10-4 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), good for fourth place in the Conference Standings

The IUP men’s basketball team notched another Big Win against a top opponent, this time defeating Mercyhurst 92-84 on Saturday. IUP was hot from three-point range nailing 12 of 23 attempts, and shot 50 percent overall from the field. The Hawks also had a big night at the Free Throw Line sinking 22 of 28 shots.

Leading the way for IUP was guard Keith Jones who had a game-high 28 points. Jones was 8 of 11 from the field and 4 of 5 from three-point range. He also added four assists and four rebounds. Center Abdul Kanoute was also a force in the game, scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds.

This victory moves IUP to 12-3 on the season and 6-2 in conference play The Hawks will look to continue their winning ways when they travel to face Seton Hill on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, February 4, the IUP men’s basketball team won again, this time against a top opponent. The victory gives the Crimson Hawks an impressive 20-1 record for the season so far.

IUP’s leading scorers were junior guard Marcus Johnson with 19 points and senior forward Jaylen Minnett with 16 points. Johnson was also named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Player of the Week for his performances in IUP’s two games last week.

The Crimson Hawks are now 11-0 in the PSAC West and have clinched a spot in the PSAC tournament. their next game is at home on Saturday, February 8, against Seton Hill University

The IUP Crimson Hawks Basketball team scored another victory against a top opponent in conference play extending their Win Streak to five games. With a final score of 61-60, the Crimson Hawks were able to edge out the competition and secure another important win. This marks the second time this season that IUP has beaten this particular opponent.

IUP’s leading scorer was junior guard Joe Johnson who contributed 18 points to the team’s victory. Senior forward Malik Johnson also had a strong showing, scoring 14 points and grabbing eight rebounds. The Crimson Hawks will look to continue their winning ways in their next game against an opponent that they have already beaten this season.

IUP basketball hosted conference opponent Gannon on the road Wednesday night and came out victorious, 92-73. The win improves IUP’s record to (17-3, 12-2 PSAC) on the season and helps them maintain their spot atop the conference standings.

Scoring was evenly spread throughout the game for IUP, with five players finishing in double figures. Leading the way was freshman guard Malik Miller, who scored a career-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field. Junior forward John Randolph also had a strong game, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.

The win was a much needed one for IUP, who had lost two of their last three games coming into Wednesday night’s matchup. With the victory, they are now in good position to earn a top seed in the upcoming PSAC tournament. The tournament is set to begin on March 3rd and will be held at campus sites around Pennsylvania.
