In his senior year, he averaged 21.9 points and 5.5 assists per game leading his team to a 27-6 record.[1] He was named by MaxPreps as one of the top 100 players in the class of 2016.[2]
Bouyea played college basketball for the University of San Francisco As a freshman, he averaged 9.3 points and 2.8 assists per game [3] He missed most of his sophomore season due to injury,[4] but returned to play in all 33 games as a junior, averaging 13.2 points and 2.9 assists per game.[5][6] After going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft Bouyea signed a training camp contract with the Portland Trail Blazers on September 23, 2019.[7][8]
