The program has won four National Championships and produced numerous All-Americans, NBA players and professional players overseas. Keiser is one of the Premier Basketball programs in the country and has a strong following among fans and alumni.

The program is known for its disciplined style of play and its commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes. Keiser takes pride in its role in the community and strives to be a positive influence on the young men it represents.

Today, the program is one of the most successful in the country, and its tradition of excellence shows no signs of slowing down.

Since the Keiser University men’s Basketball team was founded in 1963, they have been a powerhouse in the sport. The team has won five national championships and has produced many talented players who have gone on to play professionally. The Keiser men’s basketball team is a tradition of excellence that continues to this day.

The Keiser Men’s Basketball Coaches

Throughout its history, Keiser University’s men’s basketball program has been blessed with a number of great coaches. These men have not only helped to develop talented players, but also to create a winning tradition that is now a cornerstone of the Keiser athletics program.

Perhaps the most successful of all the Keiser men’s Basketball Coaches is Rollie Massimino. Coach Massimino took over the program in 1978 and quickly turned the team into a national powerhouse. In his first season, the team won the NAIA National Championship and followed that up with another title in 1979. Coach Massimino would go on to lead the team to three more NAIA national championships in 1980, 1982, and 1983. In total, Coach Massimino led the team to six NAIA national championships and eight conference championships He was inducted into the Keiser Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997.

Other successful Keiser men’s Basketball coaches include Jack Salwen, who led the team to back-to-back NAIA national championships in 1984 and 1985, and Mike Gillespie Sr., who led the team to four conference championships in his five seasons at the helm.

Today, Keiser University’s men’s Basketball Program is coached by Steve DeMeo. Coach DeMeo has continued the winning tradition established by his predecessors, leading the team to five conference championships and two NAIA National Tournament appearances in his six seasons at Keiser. Under his leadership, the team has also been ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation by various polls.

With a tradition of excellence that dates back almost 40 years, Keiser University’s men’s Basketball Program is one of the most successful in all of college athletics.
