Introduction
The Kellogg Community college baseball team has a long and proud tradition of success, winning numerous conference championships and multiple NJCAA Division III World Series titles. With a wealth of talented players and dedicated coaches, Kellogg Community College has established itself as one of the top baseball programs in the nation.
Kellogg Community College first fielded a baseball team in 1963 and quickly became a power in the conference, winning their first conference title in 1965. The team made their first appearance in the NJCAA Division III World Series in 1967, losing in the semifinal round. The following year, the team made it back to the World Series and this time came away with a victory, defeating North Dakota State College of Science in the Championship game The team went on to win back-to-back World Series titles in 1969 and 1970, cementing their place as one of the top junior college baseball programs in the country.
In addition to their on-field success, Kellogg Community College has also produced many Major League Baseball players over the years, including All-Stars Mike Piazza and Jeff Weaver. With a rich tradition of excellence, Kellogg Community College is sure to continue being one of the premier junior college baseball programs for years to come.

The program has also won multiple conference championships and has been to the NJCAA World Series multiple times. In recent years the team has seen a resurgence in success, winning the conference championship in 2016 and 2017. The team is also consistently ranked among the top NJCAA programs in the nation.

The Season
Kellogg Community College’s Baseball Team the Bruins, play their home games at Bailey Park in Battle Creek Michigan. The team competes in the National junior college Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III and is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Conference (MCC).
The Bruins have a long tradition of success on the diamond, winning conference championships in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2010. In 2005 and 2007, the team advanced to the NJCAA Division III World Series.
KCC’s Head Coach is Dave Brasington, who has been with the program since 2001. Coach Brasington has been named Coach of the Year six times by his peers in the MCC. Under his tutelage, 35 Bruins have gone on to play baseball at four-year colleges and universities.
