Schutt was succeeded by current Head Coach Dave Martin, who has continued LVC’s winning ways, leading the Dutchmen to a conference championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance in his first season at the helm.

Another factor in LVC’s success has been its ability to attract talented players from all over the country. The Dutchmen have had players from 26 states on their roster over the years, with California (51), Pennsylvania (40), New Jersey (32), Florida (30), and Massachusetts (29) being the most represented states. This diversity has helped LVC build a strong team culture that values hard work and teamwork above individual achievement.

Finally, LVC’s home ballpark, Kunz Field, is one of the best facilities in Division III baseball Kunz Field underwent a $5 million renovation prior to the 2017 season that added new grandstands, concessions stands, restrooms, dugouts, and a state-of-the-art press box.
