Kent Bazemore was born on July 1, 1989, in Kelford, North Carolina He played High School basketball at Bertie high school where he was a two-time All-State selection. Bazemore then played collegiately at Old Dominion University As a senior, he was named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-C Conference USA

College Career

Bazemore, who played college basketball for Old Dominion University was named first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) as a senior in 2011–12. He helped lead the Monarchs to the 2012 CAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Championship and an automatic berth into the 2012 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament In the tournament, he scored 17 points in a win over Butler in the second round. For his career, Bazemore appeared in 128 games (87 starts), averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game

Professional Career

Kent Bazemore was drafted in the second round of the 2012 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors He played sparingly as a rookie, averaging 1.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game over 36 games. The following season, Bazemore’s playing time more than tripled, to 29 minutes per game, and he averaged 8.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

In 2014, Bazemore was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a deal that sent Steve Blake to the Warriors. He increased his scoring average to 10.5 points per game that season, and also averaged 5 rebounds and 2 assists per game while appearing in all 82 games for the Lakers. On July 1, 2016, Bazemore signed a four-year, $70 million contract with the Atlanta Hawks
