LHSAA Baseball State Championship 2021

It’s that time of year again! The LHSAA Ball State Championship is back and better than ever in 2021. Follow along as we bring you all the action from the diamond.

The LHSAA baseball state championship is set to take place on May 28-30, 2021. The tournament will be hosted by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The LHSAA Ball State Championship is an annual event that determines the best High School baseball team in Louisiana. The tournament is held in Shreveport, Louisiana at Fair Grounds Field and is sponsored by the Louisiana high school Athletic Association. It has been held every year since its inception in 1947, making it one of the oldest high school baseball tournaments in the nation.

A total of 32 teams qualify for the tournament through their respective district tournaments. The teams are then divided into four brackets of eight teams each, with each bracket consisting of two regions. The regions are then seeded according to their regular season records, with the highest seeds receiving a bye in the first round.

The first two rounds of the tournament are played at Fair Grounds Field, with the Quarterfinals and Semifinals being played at LSU’s Alex Box Stadium and the finals being played back at Fair Grounds Field.

Archbishop Rummel ultimately won the State Championship defeating Zachary 5-1 in the Championship game It was Rummel’s first State baseball title since 2016 and ninth overall.
