NBA Referees by Conference

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the premier Professional Basketball league in North America It is composed of 30 teams (29 in the United States and 1 in Canada), and is one of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. The NBA is widely considered to be the premier men’s professional Basketball League in the world.

The NBA Officiating crew consists of one head referee and two or three assistant referees. The head referee is responsible for ensuring that the rules are followed during the course of the game, while the assistant referees help with making calls on specific plays.

There are two types of officials in the NBA: referees and umpires. Referees are responsible for calling fouls, enforcing penalties, and maintaining control of the game. Umpires handle all other duties, such as keeping score, resetting the shot clock and checking players’ shoes to make sure they comply with league regulations.

The NBA has four conferences: Eastern, Western, Central, and Pacific. each conference has two divisions: Atlantic and Southeast for the Eastern Conference Southwest and Northwest for the Western Conference Midwest and Northeast for the Central Conference; Pacific for the Pacific Conference.
