Loons Baseball is back in 2021: The Team is Ready to Play
After a year off due to the pandemic, Loons baseball is back in 2021! The team is ready to play and the fans are excited to watch.
This year, the Loons will be playing their home games at a brand new ballpark, called Summer Camp. The ballpark is located in the heart of downtown GRand Rapids and is just a short walk from many of the city’s popular restaurants and bars.
The Loons are scheduled to play their first Home game on May 4th against the Lansing Lugnuts. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online or at the ballpark box office.

The Loons are once again bringing their love of baseball and good old-fashioned family fun back to their fans in 2021. After a 2020 season that was cut short by the pandemic, the team is looking forward to entertaining their fans again this year. The team has made some changes to their roster and are excited to show off their new talents on the field. They are also introducing some new promotions and giveaways that will be sure to please fans of all ages.
Loons Baseball is Back in 2021: The Schedule is Set
Great news baseball fans! The Loons will be back in 2021 and the schedule has been set. The home opener is set for Friday, April 9th against the Fort Wayne TinCaps. The game will start at 7:05 pm.
The Loons will play a total of 140 games in the 2021 season. They will play 70 games at home and 70 games on the road. The home schedule includes 38 weekend games and 32 night games There are also 4 Day Games scheduled. Memorial Day Independence Day, and Labor Day all fall on Monday this year, so the Loons will have Monday afternoon games on each of those holidays. Additionally, there will be a Wednesday afternoon game on July 4th.

Loons Baseball is Back in 2021: The Ballpark is Ready
After a Covid-19 related hiatus in 2020, baseball is back in Full Swing in 2021. And that means the Great Lakes Loons are back too! The Loons are set to open their season on May 4th at Dow Diamond, their home stadium in Midland, Michigan.
Dow Diamond underwent some renovations during the off-season, so fans can expect a few new additions when they come to the ballpark this year. New safety features have been added in accordance with CDC guidelines, and there are also some new food and beverage options available. So whether you’re a diehard fan or just looking for a fun night out, the Loons have you covered.

Loons Baseball is Back in 2021: The Players are Excited
The Loons are back for another season of Exciting baseball in 2021, and the players are pumped! Manager Chris Cron is returning for his second season at the helm, and he’s got a talented roster of young players eager to make their mark on the game.
The Loons finished 2020 with a record of 24-36, good for fourth place in the six-team Central League They’ll be looking to improve on that record in 2021, and they’ve got the talent to do it.
Outfielder Zander Wiel is back for his fourth season with the Loons, and he’s coming off a career year in which he hit .302 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs. He’ll be joined in the outfield by fellow veterans Gavin Lux and DJ Peters, as well as youngster Luke Heimlich.
The infield will feature a mix of veterans and newcomers. First baseman Jared Walsh is back after hitting .293 with 10 home runs in 2020, while second baseman Max Muncy returns after hitting .256 with eight home runs Shortstop Corey Seager will be looks to build on his strong rookie campaign, while third baseman Rookie Davis will be looking to make an impact in his first season with the team.
The pitching staff will be led by ace Walker Buehler, who went 6-4 with a 3.44 ERA in 2020. He’ll be joined by fellow starters Clayton Kershaw Julio Urias, and Dustin May. The bullpen will feature a mix of veterans and newcomers, including Kenley Jansen Joe Kelly Pedro Baez, and Brusdar Graterol.
With a mix of veteran experience and young talent, the Loons are poised for a successful 2021 season. Be sure to catch them in action at their home stadium, Dodger Stadium!
Loons Baseball is Back in 2021: The Coaches are Ready
The Low-A West League will feature some of baseball’s top prospects in 2021, as the league will be made up of affiliates from the Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies Los Angeles Dodgers Oakland Athletics San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants and Seattle Mariners The defending champion Ogden Raptors will also be a part of the league.
The Loons Coaching Staff is ready to get back to work and defend their title in 2021. Manager Bill Haselman is back for his third season with the Loons, and he’ll be joined by pitching coach Tony Cappuccilli and hitting coach Jeremy Reed.
The Loons will open the 2021 season on the road against the Ogden Raptors on May 4. The home opener at Dow Diamond will be on May 11 against the Great Lakes Loons

The Loons are back in 2021 and the front office is excited! The team has made some big changes this offseason, including hiring a new manager and front office staff. We sat down with the team’s owner, John Henry, to discuss the upcoming season
“We’re really excited about the team we’ve put together,” Henry said. “We’ve made some big changes this offseason and we think they’ll pay off in the long run.”
One of those changes is hiring a new manager, Don Mattingly “Don is a proven winner and we think he’s the right man to lead this team,” Henry said. “He’s got a great track record and we’re excited to have him on board.”
Another change is the addition of several new front office staff members. “We’ve added some great people to our front office,” Henry said. “They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to us as we try to build a winning team ”
With the season just around the corner, there’s plenty of excitement in Loons land. “We can’t wait to get started,” Henry said. “It’s going to be a great season.”
