It has been ten years since Lynn University’s Basketball Program began and the school has much to celebrate. In that time, the team has enjoyed great success on the court, including winning conference championships and making several appearances in the NCAA tournament The team has also been a force in the community, volunteering their time and efforts to numerous local causes.

Looking back on the past ten years, it is clear that Lynn University’s Basketball Program has been a great asset to the school and the community. Lynn University’s Basketball Program is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The school has experienced a lot of success in a short amount of time, winning five conference championships and making three NCAA Division II tournament appearances.

The program has produced several All-Americans and has had six players go on to play professionally. Head Coach Chris Barrett has been at the helm for all 10 years and he attributes the program’s success to the hard work of his players and staff.

“It’s been an amazing ride,” Barrett said. “I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short period of time. It’s a testament to the dedication of our players and coaches We’ve built a great tradition here at Lynn and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our program.”

“We want to continue to compete for conference championships and make deep runs in the NCAA Tournament ” he said. “We feel like we have the pieces in place to do that and we’re going to continue to work hard to make that happen.”

The History of Lynn Basketball

The Lynn basketball team was formed in 2011, in response to the success of the school’s football and lacrosse teams. The team started out strong, winning their first game against crosstown rival Classical High School Since then, the team has gone on to win the state championship three times, in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

The team’s success can be attributed to their hard work and dedication, both on and off the court. The players have made a commitment to bettering themselves as athletes, and have also been active in giving back to the Lynn community. In 2013, the team started a mentorship program with local elementary schools, and have also been involved in fundraisers for various charities.

As the team looks toward the future, they continue to work hard and strive for excellence. With their many achievements already under their belt, there is no doubt that they will continue to be one of Lynn’s most successful sports teams for years to come.

In that time, the Knights have enjoyed a great deal of success, including five conference championships and seven NCAA tournament appearances. It’s been an exciting 10 years for the program, and Lynn fans have had a lot to cheer about.

But it hasn’t always been easy. When the program was first started, there were many skeptics who didn’t think it would be successful. Lynn was a small school without a lot of resources, and there were doubts about whether the Basketball team would be able to compete with bigger schools. But those doubts were quickly disproven.

In its first season, the team won 19 games and made it to the conference championship game. Since then, they’ve only gotten better. They’ve won five conference titles and made seven NCAA tournament appearances. In 2012, they made it all the way to the Elite Eight, where they lost to eventual National Champion Kentucky.

This year’s team is looking to add another chapter to the program’s already impressive story. They’ve got their sights set on making a deep run in the NCAA tournament and bringing home Lynn’s first ever National Championship With a strong core of returning players and some promising newcomers, they just might have what it takes to make history.

“It’s been an incredible ride,” Coach McNamara said. “When I took over this program, my goal was to build a competitive team that could contend for conference championships on a consistent basis. I’m proud to say that we’ve accomplished that goal.”

Coach McNamara credited the program’s success to the hard work and dedication of his players, both on and off the court.

“Our players have bought into our system and they work extremely hard,” he said. “They’re also great young men who are respected by their peers and community members.”
