Mamadou Diouf was born on October 10, 1981, in Dakar, Senegal. When he was 3 years old, his family moved to the United States and settled in Queens, New York. At St. John’s, Diouf was a member of the Red Storm basketball team from 2000 to 2004. He played in a total of 103 games and started in 23 of them. His best season came during his junior year when he averaged 4.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game

After graduating from St. John’s, Diouf returned to Senegal and began playing for the Senegalese national Basketball team He helped Senegal qualify for the 2006 FIBA World Championship and also competed in the tournament itself. However, his time in College Park was cut short due to academics, and he was forced to transfer again, this time to Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. After another year of grinding away, he finally caught the break he was looking for when he earned a spot on the Senegal national team for the 2017 FIBA Afrobasket Tournament.

Now, Diagne is back at Indian Hills and eligible to play immediately. He is looking to lead the team to a Junior College National Championship and finally earn that Division I scholarship that has eluded him for so long.
