Carlos Munoz

Carlos Munoz is a Mexican-born professional ice hockey player He currently plays for the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Munoz was born in Mexico City but moved to Canada with his family when he was six years old. He began playing Ice Hockey when he was eight years old, and played in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the North Toronto Canadians minor ice Hockey Team in 2003.

Munoz was drafted in the fourth round, 100th overall, by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft He played four seasons of major Junior hockey with the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), scoring 87 goals and 218 points in 251 games.

Munoz made his professional debut with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL during the 2011–12 season. He was then signed to a two-year contract by the Blackhawks on July 10, 2012. Munoz spent most of his first professional season with Rockford, but did make his NHL debut on March 30, 2013, against the Nashville Predators

On June 30, 2014, Munoz’s contract with the Blackhawks expired and he became a free agent On July 23, 2014, he agreed to a one-year contract with HC Sochi of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). After one season in Russia, Munoz returned to North America after signing a two-year contract with HC Dynamo Moscow of the KHL on May 25, 2015.

Gerardo Rodriguez

Born in Mexico City Gerardo “Gerar” Rodriguez is a professional hockey player who has plays right wing for the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League (AHL). He is currently on loan to the Admirals from HC Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga. In 2015, he was signed as a free agent by the Nashville Predators

Rodriguez was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He began playing hockey at the age of five. Rodriguez moved to Canada when he was sixteen to play junior hockey He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the seventh round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft

Rodriguez made his professional debut with the Nordiques’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Quebec Citadelles, in 2002–03. He played two seasons with the Citadelles before being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2004. Rodriguez played two seasons with the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, before making his NHL debut with Chicago during the 2006–07 season. He appeared in three games with the Blackhawks before being traded to the Nashville Predators in 2007.

Rodriguez has also represented Mexico at several international tournaments. He helped Mexico win a gold medal at the 2005 IIHF World Championship Division II and a silver medal at the 2006 tournament. He also played for Mexico at the 2007 IIHF World Championship and 2008 World Cup of Hockey.

Diego Alvarado

Born in 1990 in Mexico City, Alvarado began playing hockey at the age of five. He played for various youth teams in Mexico City before moving to the United States to play for the Dallas Stars Elite in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He then played four years of collegiate hockey for Mercyhurst University before returning to Mexico to play for the Toros de Tijuana of the Mexican Hockey League (MHL).

Alvarado is a two-time Olympian, having represented Mexico at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. He is also a two-time World Championship silver medalist, winning silver medals with Mexico at the 2013 IIHF World Championship Division III and at the 2017 IIHF World Championship Division II.

At the club level, Alvarado has won four MHL championships with Toros de Tijuana, as well as one Continental Cup.
