##The 2019-2020 Men’s Basketball Roster for the University of Michigan
Departures
The Michigan Wolverines’ Basketball team will look a bit different in the 2019 season, as several Key Players from last year’s squad have departed. Gone are starters Mo Wagner and Duncan Robinson, as well as key bench players Charles Matthews and Isaiah Livers These departures will leave the Wolverines with some big holes to fill in the 2019 season.
Position Breakdown
The Michigan basketball team is set to begin its 2019 season in November. Here’s a position-by-position look at the roster:
Guards
The backcourt will be led by junior Zavier Simpson, who started all 37 games last season and is the team’s best perimeter defender. He’ll be joined by seniors Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman and Duncan Robinson, as well as junior Eli Brooks.
Forwards
At the forward spot, Michigan will have a nice mix of experience and youth. Junior Charles Matthews and senior Moritz Wagner return after starting most of last season, while freshman Ignas Brazdeikis should see significant minutes as well. Sophomore Isaiah Livers and freshman Colin Castleton will also compete for playing time
Center
The Wolverines will have a new face in the middle, as junior Jon Teske takes over for Moe Wagner. Teske is a 7-footer who showed promise in limited action last season. He’ll be backed up by Brazdeikis and Castleton.
Projected Lineup
The Michigan Basketball team is gearing up for an exciting 2019 season. Here is a look at the projected lineup for the Wolverines:
PG: Zavier Simpson
SG: Jordan Poole
SF: Ignas Brazdeikis
PF: Jon Teske
C: Isaiah Livers
Key Reserves
There are a few key reserves on the Michigan basketball team that will see significant minutes this season. These players will be counted on to provide a spark off the bench and to give the starters a rest when needed. Here are some of the key reserves:
-Charles Matthews: A senior guard who has been with the program for four years. He is a tough, experienced player who can play both ends of the court.
-Isaiah Livers: A sophomore forward who is a very versatile player. He can score inside and out, and rebounds well for his size.
-Jon Teske: A sophomore center who is a big body in the middle. He is a good shot blocker and rebounder who can also score down low.
