Game recaps

March 3: The Big Blue opened their season with a Home game against Fontbonne University. The game was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team managing to gain more than a one-run advantage. In the end, it was the Big Blue who came out on top, winning by a score of 8-7.

March 5: In their second game of the season, the Big Blue took on Illinois Wesleyan University This time, it was the Big Blue who got off to a hot start, scoring four runs in the first inning. They never looked back, eventually winning by a final score of 9-3.

March 7: The Big Blue took on Concordia University in their third game of the season. It was another close game with neither team leading by more than two runs at any point. However, Concordia was able to come out on top in this one, winning by a final score of 5-4.

Team stats

The Millikin University baseball team represents Millikin University in NCAA Division III college baseball The program has been a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin since 1977. They play their home games at Jack Coombs Field, located on the university’s Decatur, Illinois campus.

As of the end of the 2015 season, the team has an all-time record of 1,173–1,367–37 (.460).

The Millikin University baseball team has released its schedule for the upcoming season The Big Blue will play a total of 34 games, 17 of which will be at home on Frank Camp Field.

Game highlights include the home opener against Coe College on Saturday, March 7th at 1:00 p.m., as well as Conference Carolinas matchups against Mount Olive Barton and Belmont Abbey

Post-game interviews

After every game, both the winning and losing coach will be available for a post-game press conference. The press conference will be held in the media room, which is located in the main stadium complex.

At Millikin baseball games fans can enjoy free admission to the Tilton Family Fan Zone. The Fan Zone is located on the north end of the stadium and features a variety of food and beverage options, as well as a place to play catch and other games.

Community outreach

Millikin University’s Baseball Team is committed to giving back to the Decatur community. Each year, the team dedicates time to various local outreach projects. This year, the team has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels.

The team has also held clinics for local youth baseball and softball teams. These clinics are designed to teach the basics of the game and provide a fun activity for kids during the summer months.
