The team’s weaknesses
One weakness that the team has is they lack a true number one starter. Senior right-hander Shane Kelly has been their most consistent pitcher, posting a 3.38 ERA in 13 starts, but he is not the type of overpowering ace that can take over a game and pitch deep into it. The team’s other senior starter, left-hander Jarrod Olson, has also been solid with a 4.08 ERA in 14 starts. However, behind those two there is a drop off in quality as the team does not have any other pitchers who have started more than five games and have an ERA below 5.00.
