The return of Mohawk baseball
The return of Hawk Baseball is bringing excitement to the campus and local community. After a five-year hiatus, the team is back and ready to compete at the Division III level.
The team will play its home games at Colburn Park, located just off campus. The park has been renovated and features a new artificial Turf Field which was installed last year.
The Mohawk Baseball Team will compete in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), which is made up of schools from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. The conference is widely regarded as one of the best in Division III baseball
The team’s first game is scheduled for March 3rd against Wheelock College.
The team’s preparations for the season
The Mohawk baseball team is back in action and preparing for the season. The team has been working hard in practice and is looking to improve upon their previous season. The team is excited to get back on the field and compete.
The first game of the season
The first game of the season is always an exciting time for baseball fans For the Mohawk baseball team it’s a chance to show their skills and bring home a win. The team has been working hard in the off-season, and they’re ready to take on their opponents. There are a few new faces on the team this year, but the core group of players is still intact. With a mix of experience and talent, the Mohawk Baseball Team is poised for a successful season
The home opener
The home opener is always a special day for the Mohawk Baseball team The whole town comes out to support the team and there is a great atmosphere at the game. This year, the home opener is on April 6th at 1:00pm. The team is looking forward to a great season and can’t wait to get started.
The team’s first win
On Tuesday, the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs won their home opener against the Oneonta Outlaws 4-1. This is the team’s first season in their new ballpark, Veterans Memorial Park, in Little Falls, New York.
A tough loss
The Indians took the lead in the top of the first inning and never relinquished it, as they went on to win 9-3. The loss drops Mohawk’s record to 1-1 on the young season.
A comeback win
It was a beautiful day for baseball as the Mohawk team took to the field for their first game in over a year. After a tough loss in the first game, the team came back to win the second game in a close contest. The players and fans were excited to be back and enjoying America’s Favorite Pastime once again.
The team’s first road trip
After a long winter, the Mohawk baseball team is finally back in action! The team’s first road trip of the season will take them to sunny Florida, where they will play a series of exhibition games against other college teams.
This will be a great opportunity for the team to get some practice in before the start of their regular season The players are excited to get back on the field and compete against some of the best college teams in the country.
The coaches are also looking forward to this trip, as it will give them a chance to see how their team stacks up against some of the best competition out there. They are confident that their team has what it takes to compete at a high level and are looking forward to seeing them perform at their best.
The mid-season point
With the Mohawk baseball team approaching the midway point of their season, they currently sit at 6-4 overall. The team has shown vast improvement from last year’s squad, and are currently in third place in their conference. They’ve shown they can hang with some of the best teams in the league, and will look to continue that trend as the season progresses.
The stretch run
The final weeks of the season are upon us and the playoffs are just around the corner. The Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs are in the thick of the race in the East Division of the perfect game Collegiate baseball league With a record of 25-19, they are currently in third place, just two games behind the first place Amsterdam Mohawks. There are only seven games remaining in the regular season so every game is crucial.
The DiamondDawgs have been on a bit of a roller coaster lately, alternating wins and losses over their last ten games. They will need to string some wins together if they want to have a chance at winning the division and earning a spot in the playoffs.
Their stretch run starts on Tuesday, August 1st with a Home game against the Elmira Pioneers. The Pioneers are in last place in the West Division with a record of 17-27, but they have nothing to lose and will be looking to play spoilers. The DiamondDawgs will need to be ready to go from the start if they want to come out on top.
After that, they will have three straight home games against division rivals before hitting the road for their final four games of the season. First up is a three-game series against the Syracuse Salt Cats, who are just ahead of them in second place with a 27-17 record. That will be followed by a four-game series against the first place Amsterdam Mohawks. The DiamondDawgs end their Regular Season with a three-game series against the second place Albany Dutchmen.
