The 2017-18 Season

It’s finally here! The 2017-18 Season schedule for the Mudbugs Hockey Team Check out when and where your favorite team will be playing this season.

The Home Opener

The season is just around the corner and the excitement is building! hockey fans can rejoice because the 2017-2018 schedule has finally been released. The home opener will be on October 7th against the Texas Tornado.

The First Game

The New Orleans Mudbugs are a minor professional Ice Hockey team based in Kenner, Louisiana. The Mudbugs play in the South Division of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

The Mudbugs’ first game is on October 13, 2017 at 7:05 pm against the Pensacola Ice Flyers

The Last Game

The New Orleans Mudbugs will take on the Shreveport Mudbugs in their last game of the season. The two rivals have been battling it out all season, and this is sure to be an exciting match-up. The game will take place at the Shreveport Convention Center on Saturday, April 13 at 7:00pm. Tickets are available now and can be purchased online or at the box office.

The Playoffs

The long-awaited playoffs are finally here, and the Mudbugs are poised to take the title. Catch all the action with our comprehensive schedule.

The Championship

After a long and grueling regular season the playoffs are finally here! The top eight teams in the league will battle it out in a best-of-seven series to determine who will lift the coveted Mudbugs Cup.

The first round of the playoffs will begin on April 10th, with the following matchups:

(1) Halifax Highlanders vs. (8) Quebec City Sasquatches
(2) Chicago Black Hawks vs. (7) Detroit Red Wings
(3) New York Islanders vs. (6) Pittsburgh Penguins
(4) Los Angeles Kings vs. (5) Anaheim Ducks

The winners of these four series will advance to the semifinals, where they will be re-seeded according to their regular season records. The semifinal matchups will be as follows:

(1) Halifax Highlanders/Quebec City Sasquatches winner vs. (4) Los Angeles Kings/Anaheim Ducks winner
(2) Chicago Black Hawks/Detroit Red Wings winner vs. (3) New York Islanders/Pittsburgh Penguins winner

The two semifinal winners will then advance to the Mudbugs Cup final which is a best-of-seven series to determine the Mudbugs Champion for the season.

The Off-Season

Now that the Stanley Cup has been awarded and the NHL season is officially over, it’s time to turn our attention to the Mudbugs! The Mudbugs are Shreveport’s very own Hockey Team and they’re gearing up for an exciting season.

The Mudbugs have released their schedule for the upcoming season and it looks like they’re going to be busy! They’ll be playing a total of 40 games, 20 at home and 20 on the road. The home games will be played at the Hirsch Coliseum, and the away games will be scattered across the United States

The Draft

The 2017 NHL Entry Draft will be the 55th NHL Entry Draft It will be held on June 23–24, 2017, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The first three selections will be made by the expansion team, the Vegas Golden Knights

The free agents a semi-professional Hockey team based in Shreveport, Louisiana, have announced their game schedule for the 2016-2017 season. The team will play a total of 30 games, 15 of which will be at home in the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum.
