The Eastern Conference Baseball Tournament is an annual event that takes place at the end of the college baseball regular season The tournament determines the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship
The SEC Baseball Tournament began in 1977. It is a double-elimination tournament and is currently held at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama. The tournament has been held at this venue since 1998.
The SEC has had 31 different schools earn a berth in the NCAA tournament with LSU winning the most SEC championships with 10. Ole Miss has the second most with 7, while Arkansas and Vanderbilt have each won 5 SEC tournament titles.

The Teams to Watch
The NCAA SEC Baseball Tournament is upon us, and there are a few teams to keep an eye on. The first team is the LSU Tigers The Tigers are the defending SEC champions and are looking to repeat as champions this year. They have one of the best pitchers in the country in Alex Lange and he will be looking to lead the Tigers to victory.
The second team to watch is the Vanderbilt Commodores The Commodores are the second seed in the tournament and are coming off a great regular season They have one of the best offenses in the SEC, and they will be looking to power their way to the Championship game Led by Slade Martin and Jeren Kendall, the Commodores have the talent to make a deep run in the tournament.
The third team to watch is the Florida Gators The Gators are always a dangerous team in both baseball and basketball and they will be looking to make some noise in this year’s SEC Baseball Tournament They have a great pitching staff, led by Alex Faedo, and they will be looking to shut down opposing offenses. Keep an eye on the Gators as they try to make a run at the SEC title.
The Key Players
As the top eight teams in the SEC take thefield in Hoover, Alabama this week for the conference tournament there are a few Key Players to keep an eye on.
For LSU, shortstop Alex Bregman is leading the team with a .369 batting average and 50 RBIs. Right-fielder Andrew Stevenson is next in line with a .359 batting average and 42 RBIs. Bregman and Stevenson will be critical to LSU’s success as they try to defend their SEC Tournament title from last year.
Ole Miss will be led by first baseman Sikes Orvis, who is batting .358 with 48 RBIs on the season. Orvis has been one of the most consistent hitters in the SEC all year and will be a key player for the Rebels as they try to win their first SEC Tournament since 2006.
Texas A&M’s brush with greatness this season has been driven in large part by left-handed pitcher Tyler Stubblefield. Stubblefield leads the Aggies with a 12-1 record and a 2.29 ERA. He will need to be at his best if Texas A&M wants to win its first SEC Tournament since 1999.
Arkansas will look to third baseman Cullen Gassaway to provide some pop in their lineup. Gassaway is batting .325 with 9 home runs and 45 RBIs on the season. The Razorbacks will need Gassaway’s bat to continue to produce if they want to make a run in the tournament.
Finally, for Missouri, all eyes will be on catcher Brett Bond as he looks to continue his stellar senior season. Bond is hitting .305 with 10 home runs and 46 RBIs while also providing leadership behind the plate for Missouri’s pitching staff. The Tigers will need Bond’s bat and leadership if they want to make some noise in Hoover this week.

The Venue
The NCAA SEC Baseball Tournament is returning to Hoover, Alabama for the 15th consecutive year! The event will be held at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium from May 23-28. This state-of-the-art facility, which opened in 1988, is the home of the SEC tournament and the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide baseball team The stadium has a seating capacity of 10,800 and features a permanent stage for post-game concerts and other special events.
The History
The NCAA SEC Baseball Tournament is one of the most prestigious events in collegiate sports. The tournament began in 1977 and has been held annually since then, with the exception of 1980. The tournament is a double-elimination event featuring all 14 SEC teams. The top four teams in the Regular Season standings are seeded in the tournament, with the other ten teams playing in a single-elimination play-in round. The play-in round was added in 2006.
The tournament has been held at various locations throughout its history, including Baton Rouge Louisiana; Hoover, Alabama; and Jacksonville, Florida. The current home of the SEC Baseball Tournament is the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama.
The tournament has been won by many different schools over the years, but LSU and Arkansas have been the most successful teams, each winning eight times. Other schools with multiple SEC Baseball Tournament titles include Alabama (6), Georgia (5), Mississippi State (5), and Ole Miss (5).
