Niagara basketball team’s recent successes
The Niagara basketball team has been on a Winning Streak lately, with several exciting victories. The team’s hard work and dedication is clearly paying off, and their fans are thrilled to see them doing so well. Keep up the good work, Niagara!
The team’s scoring average
The Niagara Basketball team has been averaging more than 70 points per game over the past few weeks. The improvement in the team’s scoring average has been a welcomed sight for Head Coach Joe Mihalich “We’ve been able to put up some good numbers lately,” he said. “It’s been a real team effort.”
The team’s scoring outburst has been led by freshman guard Marcus folks, who has averaged 17 points per game over the stretch. Fellow freshman guard Kahlil Dukes has also been in double figures scoring-wise, averaging 13 points per contest. The team will look to keep up the offensive production as they face conference foes Canisius and St. Bonaventure in the coming weeks.
The team’s shooting percentage
The Niagara basketball team has been on a tear lately, winning their last five games by an average of 20 points. A big part of their success has been their shooting percentage which has been hovering around 50% for the season.
Their opponents have not been able to keep up, as they are only shooting an average of 30%. This is a testament to the team’s defense, which has been suffocating lately. If they can keep up this level of play, they should be in good shape to make a run at the conference title
The team’s rebounding average
The team’s rebounding average is up from last year, and they’re hoping to keep it up as conference play begins.
“It’s been a big focus for us,” said head coach Joe Mihalich. “We’ve been working hard on it in practice and it’s starting to pay off.”
The team is averaging just over 42 rebounds per game which is up from last year’s average of just under 41. Mihalich credits the improved rebounding to a renewed focus on the basics.
“We’ve really been stressing boxing out and going after every rebound,” he said. “Our guys have done a great job of buying into that and they’re starting to see the results.”
The team’s next game is Saturday at home against Conference foe Canisius.
The team’s assists average
The team’s average in assists per game is 19. They have had 23 assists in their last game and 27 assists in the game before that. Their season average is slightly higher, at 21.4 assists per game
The team’s steals average
The team’s steals average is currently at 5.6, up from 4.9 last season. This is good news for the fans, as the team is playing better than ever before. The increased steals average has helped the team to keep up its high scoring pace, averaging over 85 points per game

The Niagara basketball team continues to rack up the points, with an average of 9.8 blocks per game. This is good news for the squad, as they hope to maintain their lead in the standings. The team’s next game is against rivals Toronto on Saturday.
