The NMAA Basketball 2021 season is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory. There are a number of great teams and players that will be competing for the state championship

The Albuquerque area is home to several of the best teams in the state. The Eldorado Eagles and La Cueva Bears are two of the top teams in the Albuquerque area. Both teams are loaded with talent and should be able to make a run at the state championship

The Santa Fe area is also home to several strong programs. The Capital Cougars and Santa Fe Indians are two of the Top Teams in this region. These two teams should also be contenders for the state championship

The Roswell Goddard Rockets are one of the top teams in the southeastern part of the state. The Rockets have a lot of talent and should be able to make some noise in the postseason.

There are a number of other great teams and players that will be competing for the State Championship this season. It should be a great year for high school basketball in New Mexico.

The top games to watch in NMAA Basketball 2021

The New Mexico Activities Association Basketball season is in Full Swing and there are plenty of great games to watch Here are some of the top games to keep an eye on this season.

Albuquerque Academy vs. Santa Fe Indian School, February 12th: These two teams have been dominant all season, with Academy only losing one game. Santa Fe Indian School has been a tough out for everyone they’ve played, and this should be a great matchup between two of the best teams in the state.

Espanola Valley vs. Moriarty, February 19th: These two teams have been near the top of Class 4A all season long and this should be a great game between two evenly matched teams.

Kirtland Central vs. Gallup, February 26th: This is a rematch of last year’s Class 5A state championship game, which Kirtland Central won handily. Gallup has improved since then, but Kirtland Central is still the favorite going into this one.

The players to watch in NMAA Basketball 2021

NMAA Basketball 2021 is gearing up to be an exciting season. Here are some of the players to watch:

Andy Ortiz, Sandia Prep: Ortiz is one of the best shooters in the state. He averaged 21.5 points per game last season and shot 46 percent from three-point range

Davion Stewart, West Las Vegas Stewart is a powerful post player who averaged 16.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game last season. He’s also a good shot blocker, averaging 2.4 blocks per game.

Jeremiah Prewitt, Albuquerque Academy: Prewitt is a versatile player who can play both inside and out. He averaged 15.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season and shot 38 percent from three-point range.

The teams to watch in NMAA Basketball 2021

The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) is the governing body for high school sports in the state of New Mexico.

Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the state, with both Boys and Girls teams competing at the High School level.

There are four classifications for Basketball teams in NMAA, based on school size.

Class AAAAAA is for the largest schools, while Class AAA is for the smallest schools.

Here are some of the Teams to Watch in NMAA Basketball 2021:

-The Los Alamos Hilltoppers are the defending Class AAAA State Champions They will be looking to repeat in 2021 with a team that includes several Division I prospects.
-The Albuquerque high school Bulldogs are always one of the top teams in Class AAAA. They will have a new head coach this season, but they have a lot of talent and should be in contention for a state title.
-The Melrose Buffaloes won the Class A State Championship last season and return a lot of talent for 2021. They will be one of the favorites to win it all again this year.

The NMAA Basketball 2021 schedule

The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) has announced the official schedule for the upcoming basketball season

The basketball season will officially start on Tuesday, December 1st with practices beginning on October 19th. The regular season will conclude on Saturday, February 27th, with the State Championships being held March 4-6.

A total of 46 games will be played during the regular season with each team playing 22 games.

The NMAA Basketball 2021 playoffs

The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) is the governing body for all High School sports in the state of New Mexico.

The NMAA basketball playoffs are set to begin on Tuesday, March 2nd with the girls’ tournament and Wednesday, March 3rd with the boys’ tournament.

Both tournaments will be played at The Pit in Albuquerque.

The girls’ tournament will be a sixteen team, single-elimination tournament.

The eight highest-seeded teams will receive a first-round bye and will automatically advance to the quarterfinals.

In the first round, the ninth seed will play the sixteenth seed, the tenth seed will play the fifteenth seed, and so on.

The winners of those games will advance to play the top seeds in the quarterfinals.

The boys’ tournament is an eighteen team, double-elimination tournament.
The top twelve seeds will receive a first-round bye and automatically advance to the second round.
In the first round, seeds thirteen through eighteen will play each other in six games.
The winners of those games will advance to play seeds one through twelve in the second round.

The NMAA Basketball 2021 championship

The NMAA Basketball 2021 championship is a single-elimination Basketball Tournament for boys in grades 9-12 in the state of New Mexico. It will be held from March 10-13, 2021, at The Pit in Albuquerque.

A total of 36 teams will qualify for the tournament: 20 from District 1 ( Albuquerque and its suburbs), 8 from District 2 (the rest of the state), 4 from District 3 (northwestern New Mexico), and 4 from District 4 ( southeastern New Mexico). The top two seeds from each district will receive a first-round bye.

The NMAA Basketball 2021 championship has been held annually since 1926. It is currently sponsored by the New Mexico Activities Association and is sanctioned by the National Federation of State High School Associations.

While there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of high school basketball in New Mexico, one thing is for sure — the NMAA basketball class of 2021 is one of the best in recent memory. The class is loaded with talented players from all over the state, and there are a Number of players who have the potential to make an impact at the next level.

Mikayla Mabry, G, Albuquerque Academy: Mabry is one of the top guards in the state, and she has been a key part of Albuquerque Academy’s success over the past few years. She’s an excellent shooter with deep range, and she’s also a gifted playmaker. Mabry has offers from several Division I schools, including UNM and UTEP.

John Michael Marquez, F, Bosque School: Marquez is a long and athletic forward who can really shoot it from deep. He’s also a good rebounder and shot blocker, and he has the potential to be a very good defender at the next level. Marquez has been getting interest from a number of Division I schools, including UNLV and San Diego State

Isaiah Mims, G/F, Gallup High School Mims is one of the most versatile players in the state, and he’s capable of playing both guard positions as well as small forward He’s an excellent shooter with deep range, and he’s also a very good rebounder for his size. Mims has offers from several Division I schools, including UNM and Utah State

These are just some of the Top Players in the NMAA basketball class of 2021. This is shaping up to be one of the best classes in recent memory, and there are sure to be some future stars coming out of this group.
