The Notre Dame hockey Obrien Club: A History

The Notre Dame hockey Obrien Club, more commonly known as theNDHOC, was founded in 1996 by a group of hockey fans who wanted to support the growing Notre Dame hockey program. The club has grown steadily over the years and now has over 500 members. The NDHOC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all of its members are volunteers. The club’s mission is to support the Notre Dame Hockey Program through financial assistance, promotion, and attendance.

The NDHOC provides financial assistance to the hockey program through its Annual Fund. The fund provides money for team equipment, travel expenses, and other items that are not covered by the university’s budget. The NDHOC also provides money for scholarships for Hockey Players To date, the NDHOC has awarded over $250,000 in scholarships to Notre Dame hockey players

In addition to financial assistance, the NDHOC promotes the Notre Dame Hockey program through its website and social media channels. The website features news and information about the team, as well as ticket information and game schedules. The NDHOC also runs a blog that features player interviews, game recaps, and other features about Notre Dame Hockey

The NDHOC also promotes attendance at Notre Dame hockey games through its “Ticketleap” ticket program. Through this program, members can purchase tickets to home games at a discounted price. This program has been very successful in increasing attendance at Notre Dame hockey games

The team is based in South Bend Indiana, at the Compton Family Ice Arena on the university’s campus.

The team was founded in 2013 and began play as an independent ACHA Division I team during the 2013-14 season. The Irish joined the CSCHL for the 2014-15 season, winning the regular season championship in their first year in the league. In 2016, the Irish won their first ACHA National Championship defeating the Lindenwood Lions 2-1 in overtime.

The Notre Dame Hockey Obrien Club: About the Author

The Notre Dame Hockey O’Brien Club was founded in 2009 by author and fan Steve Cavanagh. The name of the club comes from the late great Notre Dame hockey coach Hobey Baker Award winner and Hobey Baker Legend, Lefty Smith. The mission of the club is “to support the University of Notre Dame men’s Hockey Team through fellowship, fun and fundraising.”

The club has successfully completed nine seasons and has raised over $100,000 for the ND Hockey Program They have also contributed to other initiatives such as the Adopt-A-Family program at Christmas, Friends of Jaclyn Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project. The club is open to all fans of Notre Dame hockey, home and away.
