NSHA Hockey: Tips for a Successful Season

The NSHA hockey season is just around the corner, and we have some great tips to help you make the most of it!

First and foremost, be sure to get plenty of rest and eat healthy. Hockey is a physically demanding sport so it’s important to make sure your body is properly fueled.

In addition, be sure to stay hydrated. It’s easy to get dehydrated during a game or practice, so drink plenty of water and avoid sugary drinks.

Finally, take the time to warm up properly before each game or practice. A good warm-up will help prevent injuries and improve your performance.

NSHA Hockey: How to Get Involved

Are you looking for a way to get involved in the NSHA hockey season? Here are a few ways you can get involved and support your favorite team

-Become a team sponsor. This is a great way to support your local team and get your business name out there.
-Attend games. show your support by coming to watch the games. You can also buy team merchandise at the games to show your NSHA pride.
-Volunteer. There are many ways to volunteer with the NSHA, from helping with game day set-up to being a team manager. Contact the NSHA office to find out more information.

NSHA Hockey: What to Expect

The NSHA hockey season is underway and it is looking to be an exciting one! This year, the NSHA will be crowning both a Boys and Girls champion in hockey. The NSHA Boys Hockey Tournament will take place from February 28-March 2 at the Pictou County Wellness Centre, while the Girls tournament will take place from March 7-9 at the Cobequid Educational Centre. These tournaments will feature the top 16 teams in the province in each gender competing for the right to be crowned champion.

This season will also see the return of the NSHA Hockey All-Star game This game will take place on February 26th at the Halifax Metro Centre and will feature the Top Players in each gender competing against each other.

So if you are a fan of high school hockey in Nova Scotia, this is shaping up to be an exciting season!

NSHA Hockey: Parent Information

The NSHA hockey season is upon us! Here is some important information for parents:

-All games will be played at the North Shore rink.
--Hockey Players must be between the ages of 5 and 18.
-Each team will have two practices per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00pm.
-Games will be played on Saturdays at 10:00am.
-The season will run from October 1st to March 31st.

We hope your child has a great time playing hockey this season!

NSHA Hockey: Coaching Staff

The NSHA Hockey Season is here, and we are proud to announce our Coaching Staff for the upcoming year!

We are proud to have three former NHL players on our staff, including Head Coach John Stevens. Stevens played 12 seasons in the NHL, and was a Stanley Cup Champion with the New York Rangers in 1994. He has been coaching professionally for over 20 years, and we are excited to have him leading our team.

Assistant Coach Mike Knuble played 16 seasons in the NHL, and was a two-time All-Star. He will be working with our forwards, and we are excited to have his experience and knowledge on our staff.

Assistant coach Gordie Dwyer played 12 seasons in the NHL, and is a Stanley Cup Champion with the Tampa Bay Lightning He will be working with our defensemen, and we are fortunate to have his expertise on our staff.

We are also pleased to announce that former NHL player Joe Mullen will be joining our staff as an Assistant Coach Mullen played 16 seasons in the NHL, and is a five-time All-Star. He will be working with our Power play units, and we are excited to have his offensive mind on our staff.

We are confident that this coaching staff will help us compete for a Stanley Cup Championship, and we are looking forward to an exciting season!
