Introduction to the Osseo Basketball team

The Osseo basketball team represents Osseo High School in Osseo, Minnesota. The team competes in the Classic Suburban Conference and is a member of the Minnesota State High School League The team has won one state championship and has been to the State Tournament nine times. The Osseo Basketball team plays its home games at the Osseo Fieldhouse.

The team’s history and success

Osseo High School’s boys’ basketball team was first established in 1907. They have been successful throughout the years, winning the Minnesota State high school League Class AA state championship title six times. The most recent victory was in 2015. The team has also been crowned conference champions nineteen times.

The team’s star players

Kyrie Irving shooting guard for the Brooklyn Nets formerly of the Boston Celtics is one of the team’s star players He is a ten-time NBA All-Star and was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2012. shooting guard Jaylen Brown small forward Jayson Tatum and Power Forward Al Horford are also key members of the team.

As of the 2019-2020 Season the team’s Head Coach is Mr. Larry Johnson He is in his 12th year of coaching Osseo Varsity Basketball and his passion for the game and dedication to his players is evident in everything he does. Coach Johnson’s philosophy is centered around developing well-rounded young men, both on and off the court. He stresses the importance of conditioning, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and he sets high standards for his players in all areas. Under Coach Johnson’s guidance, the Osseo Basketball Program has seen tremendous success, including 3 conference championships 2 State Tournament appearances, and 1 state title.

The team’s Assistant Coach is Mr. Steve Williams. He has been with the Osseo Basketball Program for 9 years and has been a huge asset to the team. Coach Williams is responsible for developing the team’s defensive strategy and game plan and his expertise has helped the team become one of the best Defensive Teams in the state. Coach Williams is also a great motivator and leader, and he provides important support to Coach Johnson and the players.

The Osseo high school Basketball team is proud to call the Maple Grove Senior high school gymnasium its home court The varsity team has an impressive record of wins on this court, and the stands are always full of enthusiastic fans.

The team’s rivals

One of the biggest rivalries for Osseo basketball is against Maple Grove The two teams are both in the Northwest suburban conference and they are often vying for the top spot. The games between these two teams are always highly anticipated and well-attended. Another big rivalry is against Park of Cottage Grove This is more of a crosstown rivalry, as the two schools are only about 10 minutes apart. The games between these two teams are also always hotly contested and well-attended.

Without the fans, Osseo basketball would not be the same. The fans are what make the team what it is and they are a big part of the team’s success. The fans support the team through thick and thin and they are always there to cheer them on.

The team’s merchandise

Osseo Basketball is a deranged basketball team from the town of Osseo, Wisconsin. The team is known for their aggressive and often nt play on the court, as well as their love of giving away free merchandise to fans.

The team’s merchandise includes t-shirts, hats, shorts, and socks. All of the team’s merchandise is black and gold, with the exception of their socks, which are white. The team’s logo is a gold basketball with black wings.

The team’s schedule

The Osseo basketball team has a very busy schedule. They play their first game on December 3rd against Duluth East followed by another game on the 5th against Andover. They have a total of 27 games scheduled in their regular season The team’s goal is to make it to the state tournament which will be held in Minneapolis from March 7-9.
