The Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Tournament is returning to Evansville in 2022 after a 15-year hiatus. The tournament will be held at Ford Center from March 2-6, with all games televised on ESPN+.

The Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Tournament is returning to Nashville in 2022. The tournament, which was last held in Nashville in 2020, will be held at Bridgestone Arena from March 3-6, 2022.
The announcement was made by OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche at a press conference on Wednesday. DeBauche said the return of the tournament to Nashville is a testament to the city’s hospitality and support of the event.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Nashville for the OVC Basketball Tournament ” DeBauche said. “Nashville is a great basketball city, and we are excited to bring the tournament back to Bridgestone Arena.”
The tournament will feature all 12 OVC teams and will culminate with the Championship game on Saturday, March 6.

The Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament is returning to Evansville in 2022, the conference and the Ford Center announced Tuesday.
The tournament, which was last held in Evansville in 2020, will return to the Ford Center on March 3-6, 2022. The event had been scheduled to return to Evansville in 2021 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are thrilled to welcome the OVC Basketball Tournament back to Evansville in 2022,” said Ford Center General Manager Scott Schoenherr. “This event is a great showcase for our city and we look forward to hosting another successful tournament.”
The OVC Basketball Tournament features all 12 of the conference’s men’s basketball teams competing for a chance to earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament The tournament has been held in Evansville four times previously, including 2020, 2019, 2017 and 2015.

The 2020 OVC Basketball Tournament was originally scheduled to take place in Nashville, Tennessee but was moved to Evansville due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 tournament will also be held in Evansville.

The OVC Tournament is a single-elimination tournament that features the top 12 seeds in the conference. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament
The tournament will be held at Freedom Hall, which is located in Louisville’s Fair and Exposition Center. Freedom Hall is a multi-purpose arena that can seat up to 19,200 people for basketball games
Louisville has a long history with the OVC Tournament, as the city has hosted the event 20 times since its inception in 1977. The city has also been home to some of the most memorable moments in OVC Tournament history, including Murray State’s “Miracle Minute” comeback in 1988 and Austin Peay’s upset of Kentucky in 1987.

The tournament, which last took place in the city in 2020, will be held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse from March 8-12.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring the OVC Basketball Tournament back to Cleveland in 2022,” said OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche. “Cleveland is a great Basketball City and we know that our teams and fans will enjoy their experience at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.”
The 2020 edition of the OVC Basketball Tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The OVC Basketball Tournament is Back in Pittsburgh
The OVC Basketball Tournament is returning to Pittsburgh in 2022, bringing the top men’s and women’s teams from the Ohio Valley Conference to the Steel City for a three-day event.
The tournament will be held at the Peterson Events Center on the campus of Duquesne University, with games beginning on Thursday, March 10 and concluding on Saturday, March 12. The event will feature all 12 teams from the OVC, with the top four seeds receiving byes into the quarterfinal round.
OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche said Pittsburgh was an obvious choice to host the tournament, given its central location within the conference’s footprint and its history of hosting successful sporting events.
“Pittsburgh has been a great home for the OVC Tournament in recent years and we’re excited to return in 2022,” DeBauche said. “This is a city that knows how to host a Basketball Tournament and we’re looking forward to another Great Event ”
Pittsburgh last hosted the OVC Tournament in 2020, when Murray State defeated Belmont in the Championship game The city also hosted the tournament in 2017 and 2018.
