He is the starting point guard and captain of the UW Parkside Men’s basketball team He is a two-time All-Conference selection and was named the Conference Player of the Year in his junior season. In his senior season, he led the team to its first ever NCAA Division II Tournament appearance.

This is an incredible achievement for a team that was not even expected to make the tournament. Coach Evans has done an amazing job, and the team has played their hearts out. They have made UW Parkside proud, and will continue to represent our school well in the Elite Eight.
The UW Parkside Men’s Basketball Team’s Run to the Sweet Sixteen
In 2018, the UW Parkside Men’s Basketball Team achieved something that no other team in school history had done before – they made it to the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament Sweet Sixteen Led by head coach Ramar Evans, the team put together an impressive season that saw them earn their first ever Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) regular season title.
The team entered the tournament as the #3 seed in their region, and they did not disappoint. They won their first game against Concordia-St. Paul handily, with a score of 75-63. In the second round, they faced off against Harding University, who had just upset the #2 seeded team in their region. The game was tight throughout, but the UW Parkside men stepped up in the end and won 73-70.
This set up a matchup with Assumption College in the Sweet Sixteen Unfortunately, the UW Parkside men’s dream run came to an end here, as they lost 71-64. Nevertheless, it was an incredible season for the team, and one that will be remembered for years to come.
